Good hotel in Baiyun, Guangzhou
We really enjoyed our stay at the Element Guangzhou Baiyun. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was also good, with a nice selection of food.
The hotel is next to Marriot and Four Points by Sheraton. They all share a similar architectural style which gives the area a nice modern look. Would definitely stay again!

Disappointing stay at Element
First time staying in Element and while impressed with the overall design and toiletries, this stay in Element Guangzhou Baiyun is rather disappointing maybe because of the ongoing Canton Fair but since Canton Fair is an ongoing event and if the hotel does not fix this, it will be an issue always.
We arrived after 3 pm for an overnight stay and on arrival was told that the rooms are all not ready and we waited for a very long while to get the rooms ready, way past the usual check in time …
Element Guangzhou Baiyun is housed in the same compound as 2 other Marriott hotels namely Four Point by Sheraton and Marriott itself so for the swimming pool and gym , it is shared with Four Points by Sheraton which is okay.
The moment we arrived on the floor we are staying , I can feel that the walkway is badly ventilated and one can smell strong cigarette smoke despite being a smoke free hotel . Later in the evening , I even had to call reception as the room across us was smoking openly with the door wide open !! However , we did not see the hotel taking actions to this and at lift lobby in the hotel , you can see cigarette butts.
However the room is good as it comes with a small kitchen equipped with an induction stove and microwave , did not check the utensils as we did not cook.
The bathroom is spacious equipped with nice toiletries and bed is comfortable.
Breakfast spread is decent though it does not have a wide varieties.
Nonetheless the experience at this hotel is just average due to the unavailability of rooms despite checking in at the designated time since I did receive a message from Marriott Bonvoy all that our rooms are ready.
The lack of immediate attention to guests smoking is also a turn off.!

Very Nice hotel and very friendly at the desk. Also ordering a taxi went smootly. Breakfast is very good. A lot of choise. Continental and Chinese feed available. There is not a real restaurant in the hotel, but at the Marriott, on walking distance, there are restaurants. This place us perhaps not 100 % ideal for holiday. The neighbourhood is very quiet, but no shops or similar things. For business 100 % advisable

Very high-price international brand hotel
International Brand Hotel is located in a branch in Guangzhou, near Guangzhou White Cloud International Convention Center. I went to work at the conference center, stayed here for 600 RMB per night, the room was spacious and comfortable, smart, and the price ratio was very high.

Experience was just on point. The location and garden arrangements lovely. The staff at the concierge were so helpful at all times in getting us taxi rides and directions to local event centre's we needed to visit.
