I give 5 because on the whole the room is clean and the staff is friendly, but I booked a private room since I had just arrived from a long trip from Shanghai and needed to rest. The room is located by a pedestrian street and shops are playing loud music until 10 pm and then they start again at 9 am. So if you are a light sleeper like me it's difficult to sleep during the day. Maybe if at the check-in you notice the music is too loud you can ask for another room on the other side of the hotel. Unfortunately I realized it too late and woke up with headache 😔

Make sure to not book the non-AC room in summer. I booked it by accident when it was almost 40 °C outside and had to pay 20 Yuan extra for an AC room. Entrance shown on the picture, otherwise cannot find as a foreigner. Obviously there won't be a sign saying "Guangzhou Quiet Hotel". Even the owner didn't know what "Guangzhou Quiet Hotel" was. Basic hotel but kinda cleanish. It's not that quiet, though. You will hear what's going on outside. Construction noise woke me up in the morning. Very close to the north station and not far from the airport. Food street right downstairs with shopping opportunities. Otherwise doesn't seem like an interesting area.

是幽静旅店，普通房是没有空调的，网上都注明了的。因为是步行街，白天稍微有点吵，一般晚上九点半到第二天十一点左右下面商场才营业，欢迎下次入住。

At a very corner of pedestrian Taizi St., you take the external stairs to the reception upstairs. We had a troubled checkin; the budget room with 140 cm bed is not meant to be booked by parties of two.

The location is nearby the North railway station. Rooms were alright for the price. Lots of good restaurants nearby and the staffs were helpful
