Excellent value for money

This hotel caters for Chinese travellers, so don't expect anything in English. We had a friend who negotiated everything for us. But it is excellent value for money and close to shops and tourist spots in Chengdu.
Breakfasts are totally Chinese, and the service is friendly.
Rooms are large and bathrooms large and clean.

Interesting experience

This hotel is mainly for Chinese police and military travelers, so don't expect typical Western style accommodations. A friend who is in the Chinese government arranged the stay for us. It is a fairly cheap but considered a luxury hotel in the area but our particular room was small, dirty and smelled of cigarette smoke. We also did not find the room clean enough for our standards. Due to this we left after two nights. Free buffet breakfasts are offered but are completely Chinese, so you may not enjoy them much.
