FYS Hotel

"FYS Hotel" is situated in a prime waterfront location (within the "Cang Er No. 1" of the second phase of Dali Mansion) on the eastern shore of Dali's Erhai Lake. The standalone building faces west directly toward the Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, while also boasting spacious courtyard areas that offer completely unobstructed, pure views of the mountains and sea. Conveniently located near the airport road with a well-developed road network, it provides easy access for self-driving trips to various attractions and commercial areas in Dali. Surrounded by rich landscape resources, it is an ideal spot to appreciate the scenery of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake. The main entrance facade features a "Monolithic Waterfall" design. The USUAL Studio design team leveraged the elevation difference between the eastern courtyard and the site to enhance the original "pin"-shaped structure of the facade, creating a landscape that resembles towering mountains through layered stacking. A three-dimensional water system flows gently over the full-height atrium, leading to a highly ceremonial sunken main entrance in the water. Guests descend through the sunken entrance to the "Water Rhythm Corridor" under the "waterfall," which leads directly to the reception hall. The corridor is flanked by multiple garden courtyards, with open grilles overhead filtering Dali's gentle breeze and the interplay of light and shadows from the greenery. Visitors can calm their minds, engage in a direct dialogue with the space, slow down, and stay awhile... The hotel's seaside facade is designed as the "Eye of Cang Er." An arched floating bridge connects the first-floor "Grotto Restaurant" with the second-floor "Cloud Wave Afternoon Tea," creatively expressing the architectural aesthetic of functional zoning and formal unity. This structure serves not only as a iconic "visual window" directly facing Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake but also as a versatile space for various activities. Above the bridge, ceremonial water-stage seaside weddings can be held, while below, elegant water ballets can be performed. Transcending functional needs while being grounded in them, this design embodies the language of architectural art. The third to fifth floors of the building comprise the guest room area. The side facing the sea features floor-to-ceiling glass windows to maximize the panoramic views, allowing the breathtaking scenery of the mountains and sea to flow seamlessly into the indoor space. The hotel offers 16 guest rooms and is equipped with an art exhibition hall, a book bar, meeting rooms, a tea room, a wine cellar, a cigar lounge, a gym, and a travel photography studio. Among these, the guest rooms, Grotto Restaurant, Cloud Wave Afternoon Tea area, and the infinity transparent pool all enjoy direct views of the mountains and sea. The "Sea Horizon Illusion Bridge" and "Eye of the Sea" enhance the atmosphere for travel photography and wedding ceremonies, making the hotel an ideal resort choice for travelers seeking relaxation, executives in need of rejuvenation, and couples celebrating weddings or honeymoons.
