You can also use the north gate (Bei Men) to enter and maybe much easier to find. Follow gravel road and at 1st turn right, then turn left and after that turn right. You will reach in about 40 mtrs when you see a small stone stairs leading up to entrance Wu Chen Inn. Owner is sometimes at the back kitchen and not at the front desk. Its same like most inns that i come across. Waited an hour plus just to check in. Elsewise all good. There is a large heater that works up to 29 degrees max. Thick blankets helped during cold. Water heats up in seconds. Not bad for short stay.

The location is perfect, just next to the market square where there is dancing every night and a food market. At all times of my stay there was no one at the front desk. I was lucky that there was someone who could call the owner when i came in, otherwise it would be a long wait i guess.(There is a chinese phone number though) Rooms are ok for the price, but really cold at the time i was there (april, 0 degrees in the night) luckily there were heated bedsheets but the room itself was very cold even though there was floor heating.

Great place to stay in. The owners were especially warm and welcoming, the room is comfortable and has everything you might need during winter, and the location is very convenient. 很不错，老板非常热情、房间好舒服、地点好方便。

The hotel is nice but was not kept properly. Its located on the old town, convenient. It is really dirty 😞
