Location is great at Mongkok, not a new modern room

Location is great at Mongkok area. Bus stop for bus from Airport and to Airport is only 3-5mins walk. MTR station also 3-5mins walk. Many shops and eating places around and Langham Place Mall also 3mins from the hotel.
The hotel only can check in at 3pm (strict on this). Room is small with Hong Kong standard. Room is look old but still fine with 1 or 2 nights stay.
Staff is friendly. Toiletries and slipper provided. However, no water and coffee/tea in the room. No fridge also. Safe is available. Housekeeping service is provided. Room consider clean. Wifi is free, but connection is a bit weak in my room.
If you looking for new and modern room, this hotel is not suitable for you. If you want convenience and a place to stay when visiting, this hotel is fine.

Perth Inn. Hangzhou

In the middle of the city, there is a lot of wild food around, and close to Longhuaum, close to Woo Shoe Street, the air is cold enough to freeze the hotel towels are clean, and in the long corner can find this price compared to 300 mosquitoes

-rooms are small-ish but can you can make do.
-given a room that smelt of cigarette smoke even thou i requested for non smoking room. i asked for another room instead but was asked to pay hkg50 for a bigger room category.
(i was too tired after flight to argue. this bigger room was free of cigg smoke smell)
-rock hard beds (if u like sleeping on a slab of marble rock-be my guest)

Shameful business practices

Buyer beware. I booked a 'fully-refundable' room here using a third party. When I had to change the dates of my stay, the property first tried to charge me for BOTH dates, then when I complained they settled on simply overcharging me for one of the dates. When I contacted them (again) to find out what was going on, they ignored me, then blocked my email address. The way they handle their business and treat customers is dishonest and underhanded. I would rather sleep in the street. At least there the people will look at you while they rob you. Disgusting.

Good Value Hotel in Mongkok

We needed a hotel for a 20 hour layover at HKG airport, and chose this hotel for two reasons. One that it was reasonable and fairly inexpensive, and Two that it was fairly convenient to the airport (close to airport bus A21 stop) and the city. We weren't disappointed.
The area is quite busy, with many artisan's businesses and shops, but this adds a little local colour. We didn't feel in the least bit unsafe at any time, even at 2 am.
The hotel itself is quite unassuming, but the rooms are quite nice for the price. An oddity was that we had one standard room and one superior room, and they were pretty much exactly the same, so booking a superior room might not be a smart move. Other than that, everything was more or less as advertised and worked as it should without problem. The wifi was fine.
We'd stay there again without hesitation, if the price was right.
