A hidden gem in Huangshan
Mild Spring Boutique is truly a hidden gem on the local side of Huangshan, in Tunxi. From the moment we arrived, Jason was incredibly attentive and genuinely made sure that everything was taken care of. He even gave us a free room upgrade, which was such a lovely surprise.
Our room was very cozy, comfortable, and really well taken care of. It had air conditioning and even a projector, which made our stay feel extra special and relaxing.
He was extremely helpful with organising our trip to Yellow Mountain — from helping us get the tickets to making sure we had the right transportation, and even allowing us to leave our suitcases at the hotel while we were away. It made the whole experience so much easier and stress-free.
The hotel itself has a lovely, welcoming atmosphere, with a very good buffet breakfast and, of course, Jason’s three absolutely adorable cats! You can really tell that he cares about his guests and goes out of his way to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable.
If you’re staying in Huangshan, we would definitely recommend Mild Spring Boutique. It’s a wonderful place to experience the more local side of Tunxi, with a host who truly goes the extra mile. A real hidden gem!

Our homemade breakfast is home‑style rather than five‑star lavish. My wife and I, with hospitality background, speak English and are glad to assist your trips. Beautiful accommodation and lovely owners
We loved our stay here, the location is amazing and the owners are incredibly helpful. We got plenty of advice about how to climb Huangshan mountain and the best routes to take. Very relaxing and welcoming atmosphere! Could not recommend this place more

Top stay, excellent breakfast and delightful hosts.
Absolutely loved this hotel. A 10 out of 10 from me, hands down. We were 3 weeks in China and this was easily one of the most memorable. Jaysen who is front-of-house is exceptional. He gave us the best advice as he knows how the city and the nearby parks work best. His English is great, he is speedy on the comms and he knows stuff. Breakfast was just lovely: a good range of both Chinese and western fare. One of the best breakfasts we had in our recent trip to China. Our room was wonderful with good quality bedding and super clean. The whole place is a delight. Exceptionally clean but with a quirky, signature decor that I think makes the hotel even more special. Our room did overlook a schoolyard and so we could hear the kids twittering from about 8.30, but that added to the experience. Keep the window shut and the blinds drawn if you like, but hearing the city wake up was part the fun. Of the boutique hotels I have stayed in (and there have been many in 35 years of travel) this is one of the best. It's just lovely. Excellent value for money and Jaysen was an utter star in getting us sorted for how best to maximise our stay. I am so very glad I did my research and booked to stay here. It was just wonderful.

My stay at the Mild Springs Boutique Hotel was an absolute highlight of our time in Huangshan. Tucked away at 19, Shanglin'an Street within the Liyang Yinxiang district, this hotel is a true gem. The location is perfect, situated right at the entrance to the Liyang Ancient Cultural Street, which is a charming area filled with quaint stores and excellent dining options right on your doorstep.
The hotel itself is just as advertised: charming, immaculate, and well-maintained. The amenities were spotlessly clean, which we really appreciated after long days of exploring.
However, what truly sets this place apart is the staff, particularly the owner, Jaysen. Without a doubt, Jaysen is the most welcoming and helpful host we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. His knowledge of the Huangshan area is not only vast but remarkably accurate. Thanks to his expert advice and guidance, we were able to visit the many attractions efficiently, avoiding unnecessary backtracking and saving a lot of energy. His genuine care for his guests turned a great trip into an unforgettable one.
If you are looking for a clean, well-located hotel with a team that goes above and beyond, look no further than Mild Springs. Highly recommended.
