Escape in the Heart of Shenzhen!

If you're looking for the most Instagrammable and convenient stay in Shenzhen, InterContinental Shenzhen (OCT) is absolutely the place to be! ✨

The highlight for me? The outdoor pool area! It has this adorable little beach where you can take the most stunning photos. The pool is designed with these beautiful stones that give you the feeling of being at a peaceful lake or a luxury resort in Europe, rather than in a busy city. It’s "bien chido" and such a vibe! ☀️
Tip: If you're not a fan of being outdoors, they also have a gorgeous indoor pool to keep you swimming in style.
Foodie Heaven
The dining here is top-notch! I love that you have so many options:
Main Restaurant: You can order à la carte with everything from super tasty pizzas to authentic Asian dishes.
Steakhouse: If you're craving a premium experience, there's an amazing third-party Steakhouse & Wine Bar on-site that is perfect for a fancy dinner.
The Perfect Location
It’s located in the OCT (Overseas Chinese Town) area, which is incredibly convenient:
Super close to Futian (the business hub).
Right next to Window of the World and Splendid China. You have all the main attractions and entertainment just steps away!

Yes the room had a very comfortable bed and pillows for some restful sleep. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The small balcony was a nice addition to the room. The only downside was the language barrier with front desk staff during check-in process.

We really recommend this hotel.

Sanitation was particularly well done, the rooms were spacious and bright, toiletries were complete, hot water and internet speed were great. Yoyo's attitude is gentle, can help solve the demand in time, surrounding eating and shopping is also convenient, the overall experience exceeded expectations, worthy of five-star praise.

Disappointing

We traveled to Shenzhen hoping for a relaxing hotel stay, but unfortunately, we left disappointed. From the start, the service was lacking; we felt poorly treated, and our rooms were surprisingly stripped of basic amenities.While the staff made an effort, the communication gap was severe. We experienced multiple difficult "lost in translation" situations that made getting simple things done a challenge. The general food was only average, though I will say the breakfast buffet was a pleasant surprise—both good and varied. I also want to give a special shoutout to the staff at Kids Utopia, who were wonderfully kind and helpful to our family.Unfortunately, the real dealbreaker was the pool. We were hit with an unexpected pool closure which was a massive downer for all of us. When you book a hotel like this, you expect to use the facilities. Without the pool, I cannot recommend this hotel and don't believe it is worth the stay.

This hotel is one of the best of the crop of SZ classic Western hotels, which had a recent refreshing Spain-theme facelift. With its convenient location and stunning views, it’s an ideal retreat for families with kids.
