Best place Ive been to in a long time!
We stumbled upon this guest house almost by accident, and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip to Cyprus. From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel like old friends rather than paying guests — nothing was too much trouble, from recommending the best local taverna to helping us plan a day trip to the nearby ruins. The room itself was spotless, comfortable, and full of character, with traditional Cypriot touches that gave it real charm without ever feeling old-fashioned. Waking up to the quiet of the village, with mountain views and the scent of orange blossom drifting through the window, was pure magic.
Breakfast deserves its own paragraph: homemade bread, local honey, fresh fruit, and halloumi that put every hotel buffet to shame. It felt like a home-cooked meal made with genuine care.
Episkopi itself is a wonderful base — peaceful and authentic, yet close enough to Limassol and the coast for day trips. This guest house captures everything special about staying somewhere small and family-run rather than a big resort.
We left already planning our return. Highly, highly recommended for anyone wanting a genuine taste of Cyprus hospitality.

A hidden little oasis near many of Cyprus' main sights
It is a simple guest house near Limassol in southern Cyprus named after its owner, an elderly local. In practice it seems to be run by his charming assistant from Sri Lanka. Together they seem to be holding out in one ofe the last outposts of the British Empire, complete with afternoon tea and a full sized snooker table.
Anthony's is probably the best place to calm down after a day's worth of sightseeing. It is conveniently located near the ancient city of Kourion, Kolossi castle and the large city of Limassol. However, you will need a car to get around.
I am convinced that the hotel has seen better days. In its current state is still worth a visit.

a hidden little paradise
Beautiful place to stay, atmosphere of traditional Cyprus inside a unique garden composed by century old trees, smell of jasmin, birds, a little romantic wooden bench inside and If you are lucky enough and/or choose the right season or moment to visit it, you can have this to yourself! Even though we were spending our holidays as a couple, I would also recommend this to a group of friends that could book the place to themselves (it has something like 10 rooms inside) and have a hell of a time in the garden, bar or in the bigger room with the pool table, offering for such occasions. I totally recommend you to book it including breakfast because of the abundance of it, and the fresh figs and home made marmelades.
There is wireless internet contrary to the reviews i have read here, which works quite well in the dining room but no internet in the rooms, and no AC, but who needs it anyway right?
Also, great location due to proximity to a great beach (2 minutes away by car), restaurants, and geographically possible to plan day trips to everywhere else on the island due to its central position.

A hidden little paradise in Episkopi
I spent one night at this beautiful paradise of Anthony’s Garden House in the village of Episkopi.
It is one of the oldest, most traditionally constructed buildings (150 years old) and dates back to the Ottoman times.
The house preserves its original traditional character which impressed me from the moment I stepped in. There are three large consecutive rooms with traditional Cypriot arches that once were used as stables for camels. In one of the three rooms there is a billiard table and a beautiful sitting room decorated in the Cypriot Traditional style.
What impresses the visitor however is its garden and all that singing and chirrup of birds. It is a small paradise indeed ideal for peace and quiet, and much relaxation.
Breakfast is adequate, with a variety of different cereals, coffee and tea, marmalades, yoghurt and orange juice.
My room was unbelievably huge with a comfortable sitting room, a round kitchen table with chairs, and it included all kitchen amenities for somebody who wanted to prepare a quick dish. My bathroom was spacious with a bath tub.
Episkopi itself however has not much to offer, but I recommend this hotel to people who want to visit the ancient city of Curium, Kolossi, visit the Wine Museum at the nearby village of Erimi, and see the temple of Apollo.

Too hot, no a/c and quite ugly. I don't recommend it
Ok for one night.
Room's clean but very small and old.
The absence of air condition has been a big problem because there were 30 Celsius degrees ( even at night) and we didn't want to open the windows because the garden was full of insects, mosquitos and spiders.
Good breakfast and NO NOISES AT ALL.
Ok if you need a place to sleep when arriving from the airport of Larnaca but don't spend there more than a night.
