Great location and good service

We stayed at the Roosevelt for the second time while attending a swim meet at the Piscinas Panamericanas. The hotel is within walking distance and there are many restaurants and stores in the area. It is very safe to walk in the area and it is close to one of the main streets in Cali, so it is easy to move around.
The rooms are just the right size. The bathroom is a bit small but it's ok. The hotel has A/C, great feature in Cali's heat. However, some cheaper rooms have only a fan. Your choice.
The beds are not that comfortable, but they give you a nice sleep. Pillows are also ok. Common areas are clean and spacious. Doors are not so isolated and you can hear people in the hallways. Noise from the outside is minimal as the hotel is in a secondary street.
Internet service is faster in the lobby, but it is ok and it is free.
The best part is the food which you should order in advance if you do not eat at the regular hours. It is home-cooked with a mixture of Colombian and regular dishes.
Overall, great value for the money and we will definitively stay there again.

2 star hotel

Hotel 2 stars (not 4).
It has no hot water, no amenities, old and percussive towels and bad breakfast and little (looks like neighborhood cooking). Power goes out from time to time and the internet is poor.
Rescueable: good staff and good bed.

Worst hotel ever!!

This was the WORST hotel I ever stayed at the room doesn’t look like the website, the beds are so hard you can’t sleep and they have cockroaches!! I stayed in 2 different rooms and they both had roaches. The manager Esperanza didn’t seem to care she was more concerned about money and not have to refund it. Don’t stay here find somewhere else, RUN!!

Was expecting better

The staff was very friendly. The room was clean. We reserved a Jr suite which was supposed to be a queen bed and sitting area and desk in a separate room. We got a double bed and 2 twin beds.
Our room was very odd. The AC was installed in a hole over the door of the bedroom in a way that it was blowing in both rooms. There was No deadbolt lock on the door .
Bathroom not legal size. My husband who is 6ft tall had to sit sideways on the toilet.
The general state of the room was poor with empty open electrical boxes, hole in door and loose pedestal sink.
Included breakfast was very limited. Scrambled eggs, papaya. No coffee or juice was offered.
In short very basic accommodation way overpriced even at $45

The location is very good,all around is safe,,you can walk to a drugstore or to a restaurant ,taxi from hotel to mall or cosmo Centro about 2 usd,,,45 to 1 hour from airport depend of trafic ,,,the rooms are around 60 usd if you want to get a better price cab be dependent how many days and what you are looking for...
