Motocity Hotel

After huge delays in crossing the columbian border we arrived here for visit to customs,and it was getting dark so the lovely customs lady recommended this hotel,We were greeted by the owner who promptly organised parking for our Motorbikes in the Entrance foyer,we had no $ so he even escorted me to the local bank,pointing out do's and donts of this town.The room was airconditioned,a relief on a steamy night and staff exellent,also a good restuarant,next day on leaving we were given gifts of chocolates and recommendations on good hotels further north.This town with thousands of bikes was not dangerous and I met no problems on my walk around the shops and town centre,clean comfortable rooms and hotel in general with a very nice owner.

Great place to stay!!

I stayed over in this hotel about tow months ago. I really liked this hotel, the rooms were really clean and in excellent conditions. The service was excellent and the personal was extrmealy friendly. They even had a translator that assited me with anything a needed. Good people!!!

a good experience

Hello, just wanted tolet you know that this Hotel is really good. I went for a business trip and everyone was very nice and helpfull. The only thing that I recomend them is to remodel the outdoor look of the Hotel and they are actually planning on doing so this year. So if you want to visit Colombia and learn more about the jungle this is a great place to do so. Great food, great people and great culture.

Por favor, acaben con el gallo...

El hotel en sí está situado en una rotonda que es básicamente la que une las calles principales, por un lado genial por la ubicación, pero no tan bien por el ruido de la calle que se escucha muchísimo. Hay cientos de motos y camiones... Este punto lo solucionarían si las ventanas fueran aislantes, las que hay ahora son antiguas y de cristal fino. Ahora están en obras, ojalá modifiquen este punto.
Las habitaciones que nos dieron eran muy grandes, una de ellas hacia esquina y la terraza era gigante, con mesa y sillas fuera. La otra colindaba con el edificio de la izquierda, donde, desafortunadamente para los huéspedes, habita un gallo (Sí, he dicho un gallo del tamaño de un pavo real). El animal al parecer lleva años allí y la dueña ni lo vende, ni lo quita, ni se lo come, y lo mantiene en la azotea de su vivienda, que es justo el quinto piso del hotel. Como vive en una zona urbana con farolas, está transtornado y canta a todas horas. Eso implica que de noche, de madrugada, por la mañana y cuando le apetece, canta. Y menudos pulmones tiene... nos quedamos una noche, y ninguno consiguió dormir más de 5 minutos seguidos.
Las habitaciones tienen un pequeño salón, con sofa, mesa y nevera. Y una habitación independiente para la cama. Punto a favor es que la cama era enorme y el colchón una gloria. Si no hubiera habido gallo, estoy segura hubiéramos disfrutado la cama mucho más.
En cuanto al baño, una de las habitaciones lo tenia con puerta y el otra estaba tipo loft con el salón.
Punto a favor, la bañera de hidromasaje. Enorme. Con luces de colores y sistema de burbujas por todos lados. Punto en contra, solo sale agua fría (del tiempo, no es helada, pero una bañera así no se disfruta si no es con agua caliente).
Tiene una ducha de alcachofa por separado, y solo hay un grifo de abrir/cerrar. Lo de la temperatura frio/calor no es algo que tengan implantado... Puerto Asis es plena selva y hace un calor húmedo que hace que te licues, quizás debe ser por eso que no contemplan que quieras agua caliente...
Ahora están en obras, la escalera (no hay ascensor) estaba entera levantada pero imaginamos acabarán de ponerle pronto un nuevo suelo. La recepción esta en un segundo piso, y las habitaciones a partir del tercero.
El desayuno continental, pides café, te o zumo, y para comer fruta, huevos... Las camareras fueron muy amables y cordiales, la atención en el restaurante fue excelente. Enhorabuena a las chicas que nos atendieron y cocinaron.
Había un recepcionista de noche que era un poco raro... no se sabemos si se pasa la noche mirando las cámaras, pero antes de llegar a los pomos de las puertas sabía que estabas ahí jajajaja fue un poco inquietante, pero bueno, las cámaras deben estar para eso, y mejor que esté atento a que esté leyendo una revista...
El hombre que nos atendió a la llegada fue muy amable y el check in fue muy rápido.
Espero mejoren las inslaciones y solucionen lo del gallo, es una lastima que no le saquen más partido a lugar tan céntrico y con esos jacuzzis... Gracias!
