One of the best hotels in Seoul
Stayed here from Nov 25 through Dec 4, 2025. This is my second time staying here and chose it specifically because my stay the year before was fantastic. Coming here feels very welcoming, beginning with the attendants out front to the front desk staff. Checkin in was easy, and the hotel has a beautiful lobby area, which can get busy in the evenings because they have a lounge that hosts live entertainment. For the holidays they had a gorgeous tree that everyone wanted to take pics in front of.
The rooms here are fairly spacious and comfortable, as we reserved a double; and they are very clean. Housekeeping here does a phenomenal job as the whole hotel is immaculate. The room has a mini fridge, water dispenser, and a coffee maker. The closet was also spacious enough for two persons staying for almost 10 days.
The hotel boasts several restaurants, and they are all good, which I will review separately. However, the breakfast buffet her is fantastic and the staff do not get enough credit for the hardwork they put into preparing a variety of foods and daily service they provide. Because we ate there every morning we became familiar with a few staff members: Chae Won Kim, Hella Kim, Young Jun Kim, and Joseph Kil. I can't say enough about the staff here, as they greeted us daily and made us feel at home. I hope Grand Hyatt knows that they have an exceptional team in these beautifully, kind people.
This hotel also has both an indoor and outdoor pool. The outdoor pool doubled as an ice rink, although we were not able to skate because it opened the day after our departure. There is a state of the art gym that is clean and quiet, and helped us keep up our morning workouts while away from home. It offers towel service and has a water filling station. The hotel also has a dance room, an art gallery, and a children's play area, in addition to a nice facility for hosting wedding receptions or other celebrations. The hotel is in my opinion in a great location; located at the top of a hill (if you're up to it you can walk down to the main streets of Itaewon for shopping/restaurants) and is right across from the Namsam park and tower area for hiking and sightseeing, which we did all the above.
Needless to say, this is our favorite place to stay in Seoul and we have recommended it to several friends, who have also enjoyed their stay here. This will forever be our go-to hotel when visiting Seoul every year. Looking forward to another upcoming visit this April 2026.

This is a very comfortable and nice hotel. No complaints. The location isn't too far from the trendy area but sometimes you will need an uber to get to other places. The hotel lobby is busy and viby in all the good ways. Gym is outstanding. The cheapest rooms are comfy. Staff is wonderful.

Bad experience! Every restaurant booked by other people, and the other facilities also with private function, so we can not use the pool, neither the restaurant!!! I NEVER will come back again!!! I pass!!! Nothing close to the hotel!!

Excellent hotel. It is 15 minutes up and down a steep hill to the nearest subway so we mostly used Ubers although they are relatively cheap.
There’s a huge bar area as you walk into the hotel but no real lobby so you either have to order food or drinks but nowhere really to just sit and chat and chill which I think is a shame for a property of this scale
