Very Good (in context)

Previously have stayed at another Machala top hotel, but this time it was booked for a meeting. Location for Veuxor is very good for those wanting el centro (which I like).Dining room is pleasant. A/C control is excellent (not always the case in hotels, overseas or U.S., either). Wi-fi is satisfactory but not great.

Great Location but Extremely Noisy and Poor Service.

Location is great but it's located in an extremely noisy and busy intersection of downtown Machala.
Noise insulation between rooms is nonexistent. Absolutely everything can be heard from the rooms beside yours. Rooms get cleaned but the floors rarely get mopped or vacuumed.
Reception staff, with very few exceptions, seem more interested in texting and checking their mobile phones than taking care of the clients.
Door guys are great.
Occasionally they organize extremely noisy social events until 0400 AM that can clearly be heard all over the building.
Bring your own insect repellent as for some reason the rooms are full of mosquitoes.
Breakfast is basic and their breads and pastries suck.

Underwhelming!

Pros:
Location in the centre of the town, walkable to many places.
Decent size rooms
Wifi - decent.
Cons:
All Receptionists seem disinterested and without a smile. Unwilling to offer help.
Rooms: noisy, dusty. However, rooms are clean.
Bedding: POOR. Only a sheet provided. The blanket in the closet was dirty.
Laundry: They charge $3.65 per T-shirt... in Machala, Ecuador! The hotel needs a reality check.

Not a five or four star hotel

Expensive for what it is but I found the decent hotels in Machala are all expensive
Room was comfortable but the LCD tv didn't work and it was replaced quickly. The safe door was opened but licked so I couldn't use it and nobody came to help
Decoration of the rooms are supposed to be upscale but it fails on details which shows they have been done cheaply
This wasn't a bad hotel or an unpleasant stay but it only deserve 3 stars in my opinion

Nice basic utilitarian option.

The wi-fi works PERFECTLY. Which is not a small detail for a traveller in Machala, Ecuador.
The rooms are very small but extremely clean and modern.
I enjoyed my stay and it was a relief to have all the amenities working.
