Best Hotel in Manta, Ecuador

I arrived in Manta without having any idea where I was going to stay or what I was going to do in Manta. Hotel Francisco is located right near the Reina del Camino and the Flota Imbabura bus stations and I found it as I was walking around looking for a place to stay. The second I walked through the door I was greeted with warm smiles and very helpful staff. The price was incredibly reasonable and the rooms were clean and spacious. They had free hot coffee and snacks in the mornings and great wifi. The staff members made sure that I was not ripped off by taxi drivers and they were very knowledgeable about Manta and the surrounding cities/beaches. They also helped me find a cheap place to go paragliding and they arranged everything for me. Staying here was a wonderful experience.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is in Manta and when I return, this will be the only hotel that I will stay in in all of Manta.

Middle of a race track would have been quieter

Booked this hotel as a previous reviews said staff spoke English and our Spanish - well at this point in time the less said the better! The two staff members had no English but did go out of their way to help us with finding something to eat price of taxis to airport etc. The major problem was the noise from the cars using the roads as their own private race track all night and the state of the room would not pass Holidaycheck and some of this could be due to the fumes etc coming in from the road but can not recommend this hotel, would suggest looking elsewhere unless you are totally deaf
