Hotel with an amazing view
The view from our balcony was amazing!
The hotel management booked a very knowledgeable guide and van transportation for our group. This was a game changer and much appreciated.

Magnificent Hotel , stunning mountains views & an exceptional guide.
During our visit , we explored the 11 rock hewn churches of Lalibela ,as well as a nearby monastery ( Asheton Maryam). After visiting the monastery we did a 2 hrs plus hike which gave us the opportunity to experience the dramatic landscapes ---AWESOME!!!!
The hotel itself exceed our expectations , the staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable. The view from our room was unmatched - looking at the mountainous terrain from my room was nothing short of breathtaking . We especially enjoyed the traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony and drinking Tej around the bonfire , both of which added a special cultural touch to our stay. We throughly enjoyed our time at the restaurant, and the food was satisfying.
Our tour of Lalibela was exceptionally well organised .Our guide Telake , was friendly ,very knowledgable , engaging and clearly passionate about the history and culture of the area. To conclude this package was well designed and offered value for Money.
I would highly recommend both the hotel and the tour offer via the Panoramic View Hotel to anyone visiting Lalibela

Fantastic view. Warm and friendly staff. Strong recommend.
During this time I visited the 11 rock-hewn churches of Lalibela, as well as a monastery a short distance from Lalibela. This trip was organised by the hotel owner and manager Amdemariam.
I am pleased to say my group and I had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The staff were friendly, hospitable and the view from our room was unmatched.
We particularly enjoyed the bonfire, traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony and made full use of the restaurant while we were there. We felt welcome and safe during our stay.
Our tour of Lalibela was extremely well organised by Amdemariam and our tour guide, Telake, was fantastic. With so many options for tours out there we were torn on how best to utilise our time in Lalibela. In hindsight, i’m very pleased we went with the tour offered by the hotel. It was genuinely very good value for money and it was rewarding to know we contributed to the local economy directly.

Land of Honey
I arranged the itinerary in advance through the owner of Panoramic Hotel. Upon arrival I was met by my tour guide Telak. After a brief rest at the hotel, I began my tour of the complex. The guide was knowledgeable about the history and responsive to my requests for multiple visits to St George’s (to photograph it in different light).
My stay at the Panoramic hotel was terrific. My room was simple but clean and comfortable and the view from my balcony was spectacular! I ate most of my meals at the restaurant and they were delicious. I’m a fan of Ethiopian cuisine and the selection was everything I wanted. The staff was friendly and attentive. The manager checked in multiple times to make sure I was comfortable.
In total I stayed two nights and really enjoyed myself.
