very clean room

Whenever I'm in Catarman, I always stayed in Sasa. The owner and his staff including his sons are so accommodating.
The room is simple with basic facilities ut they always clean the room.
It helps relieve the stress from work when I go back to a clean room every afternoon.
The breakfast is typical Filipino breakfast with big serving.

Clean

I can’t confirm the good reviews. It’s maybe also the best stay Catarman. The room was acceptable clean, the shower warm but the water pressure makes it hard to get wet. Linen and towel was acceptable clean. The parking is protected but I am not sure if it is really safe. The receptionist is mostly gone. The WiFi works slow . Actually there are building constructions in progress which causing noise from the early morning .
I don’t recommend but I also don’t recommend Catarman

a peaceful place to sleep; clean room

This pension house was a surprisingly pleasant place to stay for a few nights in Catarman. Since the management had not replied to my messages in the run-up of our stay to make a reservation, we simply walked in and found a nice room anyway. Very clean, a fresh towel everyday, working aircon and cable tv. Breakfast is extra and without frills. Real coffee would be a welcome add-on.

Exceeded my expectation

Basic room: beds, tv, aircon, bathroom, window
Thumbs up for:
1. Clean. They even do housekeeping everyday. Even towels are changed daily.
2. Fast wifi. There's a wifi for every floor. There's even a LAN cable. Connection is good, compared to most hotels I have visited.
3. Has parking space.
4. Good location. Walkable to drugstore, restaurant/Jollibee etc
5. Offers breakfast (not included in the room rate)
6. Shower has heater. Toiletries are provided.
7. Has desks, chairs, closet and drawers.
8. Price is okay. Can add extra bed for a fee.
Cons:
1. No elevator (we were at 3rd floor), but staff helped in carrying our luggage.
2. Trashbin could be added in the room (not just inside bathroom)
All in all, convenient and comfortable.

Affordable but clean and decent accommodation

It was my first time in Catarman Samar so I was a little bit worried of where to stay. I thought of clean, decent and not-so-fancy hotel where my husband and I could spend the night after our whole day visit to relatives and friends. I asked my bestfriend and she told me about Sasa Pension which is only a block away from her spa. I actually thought that maybe she recommended this place because of proximity to her place. So I read reviews from TripAdvisor and true enough, the good reviews were really as good as our experience.
When we arrived we were welcomed at once and the room was ready. Just as I hoped for, it was clean, had its own toilet and bath with hot and cold shower. I shall also commend this place for its good housekeeping. And boy! It has a WIFI that works well. Also, it has an ample parking space. Thank you so much! My husband and I shall return
