Highly recommended
Great small hotel with friendly staff. We found it quite luxurious and the Panoramic Suite was great for a family with Perfect view.

Nice views but overpriced.
We had high hopes for Frangipani but sadly they weren’t met making this an average stay at best.
Pros:
beautiful views from sea view room balcony, restaurant and bar
quiet setting
short walk along the beach or road to Pops District where you can find shops and restaurants
restaurant meals were fresh and tasty
Cons:
most staff were either inattentive or rude which was not a language issue. Body language and a lack of smiles suggested our presence felt intrusive.
breakfast orders consistently wrong despite writing them down. Became a joke of ‘egg surprise’ as it didn’t matter what type of eggs you ordered, you would get sunny side up.
Rooms are old and tired such as thin and frayed bed sheets, poorly maintained furniture, only one outdoor chair in a room for two people, and a fridge that couldn’t keep a consistent temperature.
No WiFi throughout the whole stay. We were told on arrival a bus had damaged the infrastructure but it was being fixed. There was no wifi during our 4 day stay.
hotel is a mobile service black spot. Our eSIM worked intermittently and only when on the balcony or at the pool.
booking system appears to be compromised. We booked direct with the hotel but started getting random WhatsApp messages from sources claiming to be Frangipani but which were confirmed to be scams. They had our booking details though suggesting system is compromised.
shower temperature is difficult to control and hot water seems optional. There is very little pressure also.
no bottled water provided. They do refill bottles and your kettle and pod machine but considering the water from the toilet and sink was consistently brown in colour, we opted not to use water if not from a sealed bottle.
Overall our stay was average and definitely not worth the high premium paid.

Public service announcements- go somewhere else.
I hate writing bad reviews but I feel like we should warn people.
- rooms smelled
- door to room did not seal so mosquito can come in
- pool water was dirty
- not really a pool - more like a hot tub sized cold water pool
- to get to our room we had to walk through the restaurant - every-time
- when it rained the stairs we had to walk up to get out of our room poured down water
- can not really walk anywhere from this location
- difficult to get a tuk tuk anywhere because it was not in town
We felt so uneasy we left and found another hotel.

Stunning views. Missing belongings. Zero accountability.
El Nido is beautiful, and the resort's location does it justice. Unfortunately, the experience on the ground didn't match the price point or the promise.
A few practical issues first: the room soundproofing is essentially non-existent, the door has visible cracks that let mosquitoes in freely, and there is no mosquito net over the bed. The personnel gossiped among themselves in the restaurant, huddled up by the kitchen, which made it feel like a disturbance to enter the restaurant for breakfast. Small things individually — but telling signs of a property that hasn't sweated the details.
The bigger issue was this: personal clothing items went missing from my room after housekeeping. I raised it before checkout. The response from management was a dismissive "this has never happened before" — which is not an explanation, it's a deflection. No accountability, no attempt to make it right.
I followed up in writing. I received a courteous reply promising an internal investigation. That was the last I ever heard from them. Two weeks, no update, no resolution.
What stays with me isn't the missing item itself — it's the indifference. A good property doesn't need to be perfect; it needs to show it cares when something goes wrong. Frangipani El Nido showed me clearly that once you've checked out, you're no longer their concern.

We've completed our investigation and, unfortunately, we were unable to determine what happened or recover the item. We sincerely regret the situation, but we are unable to offer compensation without evidence that the loss occurred due to hotel negligence. What a pity.
we booked at this property in November 2025 for a trip to the Philippines with a stop in el nido, and would definitely not recommend it....
