Perfect for a drink in front of the sunset
We had a drink on the beach to watch the sunset.
Here the cocktails are good. The pitches even the sand are nice with cushions very crowded place and very touristy at the tip.
I say we didn’t take any accommodation here, and it was just for a drink.

Frustratingly poor service in a prime sunset location
Frustratingly poor service in a prime sunset location
Imagine owning a bar on Las Cabanas Beach in El Nido — a beach famous for its sunset views — and being positioned right at one of the best west-facing spots. You’ve even named the place Sunset at Las Cabanas (although ironically, the sunset itself is partly blocked by the island where the zipline ends). With such an incredible location, you’d expect the business to make the most of it. Unfortunately, the service lets it down badly.
We arrived around 2pm and had a couple of drinks in the bar area. Service was already slow. We then relaxed on the beach beanbags before heading to Maremegmeg for a late lunch (highly recommended), then returned later to unwind and watch the sunset.
By then, the place was filling up with people who had clearly come for the same reason. In other sunset bars I’ve visited around the world, staff make the most of this peak period — regularly checking on guests, taking orders efficiently, and creating a great atmosphere. Here, it was the complete opposite.
We were seated on beanbags on the beach when a waiter brought food to a nearby group. We asked if we could order drinks and were told we had to go inside ourselves. Inside, I was sent to a cashier, paid there, then given a pink slip to take to the bar. I received one drink (a beer), but was told the other (pineapple juice) would be brought over later. All the while, several staff members were standing around doing very little, so it certainly wasn’t a staffing issue.
It felt like a huge missed opportunity. With such a fantastic setting and guaranteed sunset crowd, basic customer service and some proactive staff would significantly improve both the guest experience and, no doubt, their revenue.
To make matters worse, they never seemed to have change. Both at lunch and later in the evening, whenever we paid with PHP1000 notes, the change was simply kept behind the bar “on our tab.”
A stunning location with so much potential, but disappointing service and poor organisation. I hope management takes the feedback seriously.

Value for money
The rooms are very clean with comfort. You are on the beach but the beach is a lot of rocks it is not a beach where you can swim very little water, the rooms are very expensive, I think it is not worth the price.

Contrast experience. To improve the relationship with the customer.
We stayed at this hotel and overall the experience was quite mixed.
Starting from the positives, the view is simply wonderful: probably the most beautiful sunset in all of Las Cabanas. Having the sun go down right in front of the room, visible directly from the room, was undoubtedly the highlight of the stay. The room itself was also very nice, nicely decorated and equipped with amenities, although I must be honest: the cleanliness was not impeccable.
One aspect of the room that left us a little puzzled is privacy. Being on the first floor, with large windows, despite the presence of blackout curtains, we had the feeling of being a bit 'too exposed. In addition, the balcony overlooking the beach, while suggestive, was impractical: there was no drying rack and leaving towels or costumes outside at night meant in fact putting them within anyone’s reach.
The real downside, however, concerns the staff. We did not find it particularly accommodating or hospitable. The day after our arrival we left very early for a tour and, despite having breakfast included, we could not take advantage of it. Before leaving we took two bottles of water from the fridge in the room, with the obvious intention of paying for them at check-out. Upon our return, however, someone even knocked to immediately ask us for payment for the bottles, which seemed out of place since, having not requested the cleaning of the room, this meant that someone had come in specifically to check if we had taken something from the refrigerator. On the other hand not being drinking water they would at least have to provide a mineral water dispenser as happened in any other place we stayed in the
Philippines, if only to allow us to brush our teeth.
The next day, during breakfast, we simply asked to replace a drink with an espresso, having also pointed out that, of the three breakfasts paid, we had only used one. Despite this, we were still charged for the express.
Finally, at check-out, before returning the keys, it was necessary to wait until they checked the room to verify that everything was in order and that nothing was missing from the refrigerator. This attitude made us feel uncomfortable, as if there was a constant lack of confidence in us.
Finally I found UNACCEPTABLE the fact that such a place, so highly touristic, did not offer the possibility to pay anything with the Card but only and exclusively cash.
In summary, the property has huge potential thanks to the location and breathtaking views, but the experience was penalized by a welcome that did not make us feel really welcome.

Sunset Bliss in El Nido
Definitely one of the best locations for catching stunning sunsets in El Nido. The place is truly a vibe, and we always have a great time every time we visit. Both the food, drinks, and the place itself are aesthetically pleasing and never disappoint in terms of quality. What made our stay even more special was one of their staff, Ernest. He was the warmest, most attentive, and most accommodating staff member they have, and I would definitely argue with anyone who says otherwise. Such a kind, friendly, and charismatic server. Will definitely go back!
