A small hotel on a human scale

A real little paradise! The staff is very attentive, our room was very comfortable and very clean. You are even 5 minutes by tuk-tuk from Alona beach. The reception organizes your visits and gives you good advice. The pool is just a place for rest. We stayed 3 nights and didn’t want to go back. Many thanks to all the staff who made our stay a real relaxing moment . 300% recommend this haven of peace

A peaceful place in Panglao

5 minutes by tuk-tuk from the center of Alona beach, the Blue Planet is a small haven of peace.
Each room is tastefully decorated on the theme of a country. We slept at the foot of Tower Bridge.
Nice little garden around the pool whose everything is very well maintained.
The owner and the staff are very welcoming. Breakfast and dinner were good.
The airport shuttle is free of charge.
We had a great stay at the Blue Planet and would definitely return.
Attention: it is strongly recommended to provide cash for payment.

Glorified motel in the middle of nowhere.

It is far from anywhere sitting all alone, the beach being 1.5 - 2 km away. It is a motel pretending to be a resort. There is a swimming pool surrounded by motel like rooms. There is little privacy between the rooms. They do not accept credit cards, cash only something one has to be aware of. The room we had was spacious and clean and numerous cabinets, drawers and benches as well as a full kitchen, 3 burner gas hob, an oven, a microwave, a large fridge. Despite all this all the cabinets and drawers are empty. There are no cooking pots and pans, kitchen utensils, crockery or cutlery apart from 2 mugs and 2 spoons. What a waste of the space. The breakfast is virtually the same everyday, there being no buffet. The choices for breakfast are limited. They don’t know how to prepare poached eggs, I got fried eggs on 2 days despite the waitress being told I wanted poached eggs and she read it back. Likewise for dinner there is nothing if you are a vegetarian, she got “an omelette” for dinner which was apparently inedible. If you don’t like pork you are out of luck. There are no restaurants close by and if you want to go somewhere else to eat you have to call a taxi, no walking distance restaurant.

Tranquil & Clean

Arrived at half 12 and had to wait until 2pm exactly until we were allowed in the room, however the cleaning job was extremely thorough. We even saw the staff take apart the aircon and clean the filters.
The most spotless hotel, the room also smelled great!
The grounds are beautiful while also an extremely peaceful and quiet hotel. Slightly out the way, only around maybe 12-15rooms, all on one level. Tranquil!
We paid no more than 100 pesos for a trike down the the Alona beach area, with the lowest being 70 pesos.
