Sunweb Hotel Les Sittelles
We arrived at the hotel around 8:15 pm. There was no one at reception to welcome us-just an envelope on the desk with a keyinside. However, I did receive a phone call to say that there would be no one on the desk and advised that the dining finished at 9pm so before we went to our room, to eat first. That phone call was very welcomed.
The room was relatively clean. It compromised of an extremely small room, just big enough to fit a set of bunkbeds in a small lounge with bed settee with a table & 4 chairs, then stairs up to the double bedroom. Luckily there was only 4 of us, as although was a 6 person accommodation, it would’ve been a very big struggle to fit 6 people in there. Plenty of storage. A little kitchenette containing a sink,fridge,slimline dishwasher & a hob. However, no pots, pan, cups, cutlery provided. Pointless having a dishwasher & hob.
Food in the restaurant was relatively good, a salad bar, soup, baguettes, & a small selection of hot food served for you. In my opinion, if you were a vegetarian, you would struggle as some nights there was no vegetarian option apart from the salad bar.
Unfortunately, I found most members of the Sunweb team who worked there, not very welcoming. The lady who is on reception wasn’t very welcoming, never smiled or spoke as we walked past. Always looked miserable. In fact, the majority of the Sunweb team didn’t seem very friendly. Apart from the lady who welcomed you into the restaurant in the evening-she always said good evening and welcome us, with a smile. Also the English waiter/ worker- always greeted with a smile and a chat.
The bar area is of a large size. The restaurant, although a large size never seemed big enough for the amount of guests that were in the hotel. Food ran out very quickly, especially in the mornings. Most mornings, the juice had run out, plain omelettes every day for breakfast if you are lucky, if they hadn’t all run out. Always a selection of croissants and other sweet treats. I did witness people, walking around the restaurant in pyjamas, socks and no shoes. Not something that is acceptable in a restaurant full of people where food is being served.
Numerous posters around the hotel advertising “the only apres ski in town “, every day 4pm-7pm. In the eight days of our day never witnessed this once! The barman even told me one night would be themed, ABBA, never witnessed this either.
The room was never cleaned, never visited by a maid once in the whole time of our 8 day stay. Towels were changed after five days of being there, and that was because we asked for clean towels.
Each room is provided with a ski locker-this was appreciated.

More than average stay
breakfast and dinner the canteen was okay just 2 times we only got hard bread either it was frozen or it was old
spa qd I left in the evening with reservation it was overloaded, faucet broken in bad condition...
before leaving we ordered "4 box" sandwich and dessert for the road 48 € inside 1 bottle of crystal clear water 33cl and a butter cheese sandwich the bread was dry and white and the dessert was a chocobon per person we felt wronged the value of the 4 boxes no doubt do not exceed 10 € the box seemed heavy but 80% of the box was actually the bottle of water 33cl
for the ski slopes be careful it is not at the foot of the slopes but actually 300 meters

Average stay
The condition of the bedrooms especially the bedding left to desired the mattresses was hard and not very comfortable, the living room curtains was yellowish from the inside
A rather unpleasant smell coming out of the toilet may be which are perhaps due to the pipe
Pros: the food was pretty good it was quite varied the service was also good overall
