Very nice stay

The hotel is close to everything, the staff is very kind and welcoming. The cheap parking finally for Annecy.

Run away

Frankly, there was almost nothing going on besides the location. The walls are degraded, 1 fan for 4 people, the TV did not work. My bed was literally 2 mattresses bunk on a kind of support. The mini fridge didn't work and was mostly used as a misery cover with all the caterpillar behind. Pros: the owner and his daughter were lovely, the bathroom was decent and the location of the hotel is great. But consider this option as a last resort only.

Apart from the location, not much to say.

Firstly the positives. The receptionist is super helpful and friendly and the breakfast was simple but tasty. The main positive is the location. Right in front of the old town and a short walk to the lake. Unfortunately the other reviews on here are right- the rooms are a throwback to a guest house in the 1980s at best. Our room had comfy beds but very outdated furniture and bathroom, In massive need of a makeover.

Hotel experience Time travel Ideal location

The Hotel de Savoie welcomed me for one night as part of a business trip.
Unfortunately, the fullness of the bitter comments on Tripadvisor is not usurped.
Choose this property as a last resort. The rates charged are like the beautiful Annecy: overvalued.
Access to the reception, which also serves as a breakfast room, immediately introduces you to an atmosphere and environment that transports you back 50 years.
The romantic room and its bright bathroom are a hotel experience, it is a trip to the borders of good taste and outdated decoration.
A small bag (finger rinse type) with shampoo gently placed on the sink will allow you to wash. Hands, hair, feet and everything. Soap point available, thank you for the planet.
Let's talk about the positives here: the bedding (at least in my room) was good, the location is ideal in historic downtown, Joel's kindness at the reception is sincere, the coffee at breakfast was good.
The points that are not: the small hotel is a mini-maze and inaccessible for PMRs, the noise of the neighborhood (you are in the heart of Annecy facing the Castle, to you the hundreds of customers of the terraces of restaurants, ice cream merchants and tourists on the Perrière Bridge with their camera), the dilapidated room & bathroom, the absence of air conditioning (50 years ago, only Americans had fresh air), the giant screen (a superb bright Oled 75 inches) tuned to news channel at breakfast to announce the good news of the World, ...
It would take a budget in excess of one million euros to renovate this charming little hotel in Antwerp, it is highly likely that it is neither in the projects nor in the owners’ scholarships.
The smile of the receptionist is worth all the gold in the world, but it makes a smile expensive.

Hotel too expensive for the services offered
Bathroom very small wall shower breakage and hygiene leaves to be desired very old room
TV and Wi-Fi are not working
Breakfast served in the Pension entrance
