Lamentable in every respect....
Upon our arrival around 11 p.m., after having paid for the room, we discovered a barely bearable heat as well as numerous ants in the room.
When we asked to change rooms, the night receptionist, Duyan Lecoq, indicated to us that he could do nothing and replied that, if we were not happy, we could "go sleep elsewhere." No refund was offered to us. We therefore had to leave the hotel in the middle of the night and find another establishment.
The next day, the front office manager, Mariia, disputed our version of the facts, refused to see the condition of the room herself despite the photos taken on site, and also refused to process the refund.
Beyond the condition of the room, it is above all the lack of a solution and the attitude of the staff that deeply disappointed us.
We were finally very well received at the Adagio hotel, where we had to go in the middle of the night.
We are still requesting a refund for the night we were unable to stay. An experience that we are absolutely not ready to repeat.

Needs urgent renovation!
I never post comments on sites, but I am doing it here so that there is a reaction from management, essentially, and to corroborate the unfavorable reviews and inform future clients. Indeed, it is catastrophic, but I will finish with some positive points, because there are some!
This hotel is aging, especially in the rooms (but actually everywhere): cracks in the walls, peeling paint, rust stains emanating from the shower wall that create marks in the bathtub, rust on the tissue dispenser... but that is not actually the most disturbing part. Luckily, we had air conditioning! There is a major maintenance problem, on a daily basis, as well as in the longer term. The terrace where we have breakfast was not swept during the 5 days of our stay (or at least very poorly). We arrive in the morning, very early, and find bits of crushed cake, eggshells, sugar packets, an overflow of water (?) that creates a stream of water filled with small pieces of trash, dead leaves... On the pool side, a barrier with plexiglass filled with white streaks of the most beautiful effect, tiles and manhole covers that are raised (a child fell right before our eyes), a spotlight unscrewed from its housing and floating in the water, artificial turf under the trees full of trash. The highlight is the buffet: low quality of products, very little choice (for an Ibis Styles in any case) and very slow restocking. During the rush, and even outside of it, one can wait 5 min or more to have a functional coffee machine, a croissant, or yogurt available. And when it arrives, it is in very small quantities!
We are on our sixth stay at an Ibis Styles; we booked without even looking at the reviews, we had been so satisfied. But here, we are very, very far from the standards. And we are rather benevolent, we just know how it goes elsewhere. It is not a staff problem, as they seem invested in their duties and disheartened by the situation. A turnaround, which would be initiated, is imperative!
And yes, there are positive points!
- The size of the pool is exceptional. Early August, no overcrowding, whatever the time, very pleasant during a heatwave!
- The parking lot is also very large and free. Of course, this comes from the location on the outskirts of the city, but it is appreciated.
- We are really a 1/4 hour - 20 min walk from the start of the city center. Indeed, the areas crossed before arriving at the banks of the Rhône are not dreamy, but we never felt unsafe.
There you go, we hope that the new manager is given all the resources to make it an Ibis Styles worthy of the name.
