Located in Berck-sur-Mer, this property is a 30-minute drive from Baie de Somme, 900 metres from the beach, 1 km from Berck’s Casino. Dormio Resort Berck-sur-Mer offers houses with a terrace and a garden.

Excellent base
Dormio Berck-sur-mer is a great base to explore the opal coast. The park itself is small in scale, makes a friendly impression and looks nice and cared for. We stayed at maison cosanne nr 24. A spacious cottage, fine. Kitchen is equipped with all necessities, sofa and chairs sat very nice. The space backyard is a big plus. Some defects in the cottage: lamp buttons without function, chair cushion with stains, shutters that do not work, sloppy workmanship in the kitchen, sliding door can not be locked, overgrown front garden. Beds are extremely soft and the pillows very flat. Due to these points a somewhat lower rating, although I think there are certainly better and newer houses on the park that are completely in order. Restaurant on the park is fine, large portions, but relative to restaurants in Berck on the pricey side. Pool was very busy with the heat, there is little sunbathing space. The beach was a 20-30 minute walk from the park, which was fine to do. Center of Berck also 30 minutes and well worth the walk. Nice restaurants along the promenade. Trip to le Touquet is a must, very nice city with cool architecture.

Great Lodges, simple and comfortable
Stayed as two families of four and got adjoining lodges (paid extra to be next door). Very much a small complex feel with a pool at the entrance and little children's activities. Food is limited, only serve after 4pm. Sandwiches only before that and only a couple of places to eat nearby. Beds are ok, but I would advise bringing your own pillow as they are flat!
Also beach is a 20-30minite walk but secluded and lovely. Nice sand, water can be strong but low tide made it easier for children to swim.

Everything was nice except the weather
Beautiful park with beautiful large houses, decor very complete, clean and beautiful.
Beautiful pool with heated water, unfortunately not able to use due to the bad weather, really very unfortunate.
The redtaurant is also good in quality but very limited menu if you want to eat there more often you will soon end up with the same. The mussels are very tasty here so that is a must.
In Berck are fine restaurants so choice enough to eat out every day.
Tip definitely go to the seals there is very nice and there are nice places to visit such as Montreuil sur mer and Le ourquet Paris Plage

Some work needed to improve overall cottage quality
Family stay for one week. Interior of the home was sober, outdated and often broken. Shower not working properly, toilet and dishwasher needed repairs. In current state I would not recommend. Friendly staff though, helping where possible.

Check in was very easy and the detached house we stayed in was spotless. Lovely patio terrace at the back and enough space to park on the drive. In a very good location if you want peace and tranquility, along with it being an hour max drive from Calais. Would recommend staying here out of season as in prime time summer the prices rocket.
