Great location in fantastic Biarritz

A review for both the hotel and the restaurant/ bar
Hotel- Amazing location we loved being able to nip to beach and back before breakfast without a fuss. Rooms were small but fine for us. Everything very clean. Check in and staff pleasant and efficient throughout- especially when we kept locking our key in the room! Sorry just too used to key card!
Note that if you have a terrace it requires a very big step up so not suitable if any mobility problems.
Hint- head for sainte eugiene car park ( but town centre closed off in afternoon/ evening so go via coastal road - if you head to casino and keep going past casino car park you will get there next. Then take the pedestrian access that leads to city centre and you will only be a few mins away. Might be worth hotel providing details on website/ booking of this- apologies if they do on booking as my husband had it and tends to ignore these things!
Restaurant - loved the food - it’s Italian but we just fancied something easy on first night. They reserved us a table at the edge with fabulous views. We all loved the food - my teenagers are obsessed with Italian food and agreed it was very good. Husband loved his vongole!
Rooftop bar is good atmosphere- nice tunes and make an excellent cocktail. Service is sometimes difficult to get if busy in restaurant but no problem once you give them a little nod.

What a lovely, detailed review, thank you. Glad the beach was so easy to reach, and no worries at all about the key card, it catches plenty of guests out! Good point on the terrace step, we'll keep that in mind for anyone with mobility needs, and thank you for the parking tip too, that's genuinely useful for future guests. So happy the vongole won your husband over and that the teenagers approved the Italian menu, that's a high bar to clear. And a nod at the rooftop bar clearly works, we'll take that as insider knowledge. Hope to have you back before too long.

Miserable awful unprofessional staff.

To say the young lady that served us coffees was so miserable and unpleasant is a great under exaggeration. We had just arrived in Biarritz, 4 adult and a baby wanting iced coffees on a warm day and this lady that served us made it feel like we were asking her to donate a vital organ of hers. Made us feel small and totally unwelcomed.
Be back ………absolutely not. Rather go thirsty.

Second time I've stayed there. 7 rooms, a bit quirky in the layout - this one had a separate powder room just after you entered room and the shower/sink were far side of the room. Room was clean, air conditioning worked great. This room was adjacent to the restaurant's terrace, so not the greatest for privacy, but no noticeable noise. Fine for one night, but might have preferred a different room if I had been staying for a longer period.
Location of the hotel is great! Right on the water. Large surfing beach is around point to the left, and downtown around point to the right.

Unpleasant

Great location and nice. However, the service is not pleasant, with unpleasant waitresses and a lack of professionalism. It was my second visit, I didn’t want to stay on a negative side, but it’s really unpleasant. I will not go back.

Exceptional hotel

Exceptional hotel: location overlooking the ocean, quiet, spacious and comfortable room
Very well decorated terraces, good quality gastronomy and finally very attentive staff
