Location and property were perfect for exploring D-Day beaches and Caen. Staff was extremely helpful and rooms were clean …and what a beautiful view from our balcony. We requested close or connecting rooms and we received connecting rooms - this is such a struggle at many other hotels now. It was such an easy and memorable stay.

No ventilation in the bathroom/ loo, which is disgraceful in an en suite small bedroom. Told staff immediately but maintenance came after as 1 night stay.
Breakfast was ok, hot was baked beans and scrambled or boiled your own egg. Ran out of croissants
Reception staff friendly and really helpful .
Bath with shower over too dangerous as no anti slip mat.
Coffee tea in room abysmal, old looking instant sachets, no milk, cheap mugs no handles. Up your game

Highly recommend this hotel in beautiful Caen when visiting Normandie

Our family of five truly appreciated our stay at the Best Western Royal Caen Centre.
The location was great, in close proximity to shopping and amenities, wonderful restaurants and neighborhoods with charm, and historical sites (notably the castle). The rooms are clean, comfortable, and perfect size. The staff at reception work very hard to ensure all goes smoothly. We were lucky that our rooms overlooked the Place de la République and loved the balcony. Air conditioning worked great despite that our stay was during a heat wave. Breakfast options
The property is also well located for side trips to Normandie, close access to major arteries. In addition, the location felt very safe.

Nice hotel convenient for Rouen and the surrounding area

We stayed for two nights at this hotel located near the main shopping street of Rouen, therefore convenient for visiting the city. Nice property with a free water dispenser in the lobby, excellent Wi-Fi. They reserved a comfort room for us on the top floor, clean, well-finished, just the right size with a safe and a kettle. Nice bathroom with an enclosed shower and dispensers. Slept well because the bed was comfortable and despite being on the Place de la République, it is well soundproofed. Breakfast with good products with a choice of both sweet and savory items. Staff was kind in giving directions for dinner. In front of the hotel there is a very convenient underground parking garage; stop by the reception first so they can give you the ticket to enter and exit at your leisure.
