Normandy Beach holiday

The Brit Hotel Caen-Nord is an excellent hotel worthy of its 3⭐️ grading! I was travelling solo on a coach tour to the Normandy beaches, and on our arrival we were given time to freshen up before our evening meal. My room was a good size, with a nice large bathroom, very comfortable double bed, and well lit. The only downfall I felt, was the lack of tea cups, and the provision of milk in the room. On the tea tray was 2 small glasses, 2 coffee sachets and 2 different types of tea - both fragrance ones! No English breakfast tea!!
I understand I'm in Europe, but they must be aware we're are a nation of tea drinkers and like a decent sized cup! The staff were excellent, especially Heloise, who served me with patience and great customer service. The hotel was spotless, and nothing too much trouble if something was required.
I would heartily recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. The photos do not do the hotel justice. The staff were very friendly, we slept in so we couldn't experience the breakfast but the room restaurant looked inviting. The air-conditioning worked very well for the August weather. A very comfortable stay!

Dogs seem to be more important that people

Had 1 night here, rooms ok, clean and everything in them, no complaints about that.
When checking in to hotel some guy and his huge dog came in and his dog stuck his wet nose on my leg, no apology and just walked on. Then where my wife was sitting he headed to restaurant with his huge dog, sniffing everybody and being a pest. Food is being served and you let a smelly dog in where people are eating food and it wanders all over the place sniffing everything.
Kennels are for dogs?
Dogs should not be allowed where people are eating or drinking?
I would not be allowed to approach people and sniff them or wander around tables of people eating being a pest, so why is it ok for a very selfish person that thinks his dog is more important than other people well being to behave in this way? He did not abide by the rules laid out by governemnt and yet nothing is said. Multiple people have just to put up with 1 person and their selfish approach. Paying customers should not have to put up with this rudeness.

The hotel was fine, the only issue we had as a family was that that was no lift in the hotel

We had booked two nights but ended up staying only one, as we chose to book another hotel instead. We paid €180 per night.
The room was located on the second floor under the roof, with no windows offering a view. The beds were uncomfortable.
We had reserved a table for dinner, but were seated directly under the restaurant’s television, which was showing a World Cup match. Other guests were watching it closely, making it impossible to have a conversation during our meal. We ordered steaks cooked medium, but they arrived completely red. The fries were soft and clearly cooked at the wrong temperature.
The paid breakfast buffet consisted of a mini croissant and various cornflake products. The scrambled eggs had run out, and despite asking twice if they would be replenished, nothing happened until we were leaving after breakfast.
The only positive aspect was that the room had air conditioning, but this did not make up for the overall poor experience.
We saw what we wanted in the D-Day area and then continued on to the next part of our holiday.
It should be obvious that we do not recommend this hotel.
