Comfort experience

I’m an Italian girl travelling solo, this hostel was really nice for the ambiance, the nice restaurant downstairs and definitely for the cleanliness and the service. Also the hostess was friendly and competent, reccomended

Turn the music down!!!

Hello,
First of all, I would like to point out that this comment does not take into account the quality, the welcome and the respect for its customers.
Indeed, I take advantage of this comment space to talk about the respect of the establishment towards its neighborhood:
The hotel has a strong tendency to play music at an extremely high volume on weekend evenings until hours when one normally hears only the gentle insults of the few people too drunk to stand who wander down the street in search of a quest of which only they have the secret.
I wouldn't mind if the volume was acceptable, only my apartment is equipped with double glazing and I'm still forced to try to fall asleep with a constant rhythm and bass that would probably give hearing to a deaf person. Living in a few buildings of the hotel, I dare not even imagine for the elderly, families and workers who live a wall apart from the establishment, noting the fact that some buildings are obliged to keep windows without double glazing because the city center is I quote "a historical heritage" and that we must not touch the facades of these buildings, then I do not even imagine the ordeal of the tenants who live there. With summer approaching, and most of the apartments in the neighborhood probably poorly insulated for the reasons I have cited above, the residents of the neighborhood to which I belong will most likely be forced to sleep with the windows open if they do not want to melt during the night, but this is impossible if the volume and duration of the music broadcast remain the same, not to mention the music festival that we must also hit at the same time.
I've already stopped by several times to ask to at least turn down the volume a little, without necessarily stopping the music (I understand that it's necessary for private parties or attracting people on weekends, but you shouldn't push grandma into nettles), one time the next morning, when a lady, probably a responsible person, suddenly replies that there is a permission from the town hall without looking further, without an ounce of understanding
I also stopped by other times in the evening to try my luck again, hoping to meet someone more understandable, and I ran into a younger woman who understood that it could be disturbing for neighbors, especially those who have to get up early the next day to go to work and who, in view of the late hour, kindly lowered the music (thanks to her) even if it will have lasted only a quarter of an hour before resuming more beautiful:/
It's not my habit to leave comments like this and even less to have to write cobblestones at 2am instead of sleeping in order to be fit to provide my next day shift, in which I would have to manage 60 places, including children running around, including difficult people, including people who leave me toilets with visible trace options on the walls, but there is a time when I don't know what else to do to make the owners react.
Once the music, or should I say the constant and repetitive bass interspersed with snippets of music worthy of a 2010 DJ set is finished, you then have to endure at least 15 minutes of screams, more throat-spread laughter than those of a hungry pelican from outgoing customers before you can finally hope to close your eyes in order to grab 5 hours of sleep before starting the day.
I hope that you will understand my point of view and that efforts will be put in place so that this is no longer a problem for me and probably for the other residents of the neighborhood who must have come to complain before me.
I am not asking you to stop the music, but at least to play it at a level acceptable enough that it does not affect the already sufficiently rare tranquility of the street, to show a minimum of respect and courtesy to the people who are forced to bang this hell every weekend when it is more than 15 degrees, it is common sense:')
Apart from this problem I imagine the hotel must be well

A bad experience in Carcassonne

Room 202, November 26: cold room (it must be said that it is under the roof). I think it's the same problem for the whole floor: ceiling in cathedral, exit from the heating at 2.5m, result in freezing room. At 80 euros the room for 2 people, with 0 service, no elevator, fame wifi and no breakfast, there is clearly no account. Avoid it.

Fantastic stay, good value!

Our stay at the hostel was wonderful! The staff were so helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the price was very reasonable. We stayed during a heatwave and the staff made sure that we stayed hydrated and were very kind. We were allowed to keep our bags at the hostel when we checked out, as we had a few hours until our train. No complaints from me- I would recommend this place! (A special thanks to Sarah for being so helpful!)
