Great!

Both Marie-Christine, her husband and Alf the dog are very welcoming! The rooms are spacious and have a separate bathroom. You can make use of the garden and you can park at the accomodation. The breakfast is superb, lots of home made dishes and more than enough. Marie-Christine is the nicest lady and like to talk to her guests and make them feel at home.

Ideal stop off on the Sentier Cathare

Right at the side of the Sentier Cathare, Les Lavandes is a lovely place to spend a night. The accommodation is comfortable, fresh and clean, and the host Marie-Christine is friendly, helpful and a great cook... and Alf is a gorgeous dog!

Cozy and charming

We loved this nice and simple house, specially for its lovely owner Marie-Christine. She was very charming, helpful and easy-going. We visited the castle, which is spectacular, and enjoyed the beautiful landscape. Only con is the village is a ghost town off-season and we struggled to find a place to eat late.

Charming, Well situated, and great value

We were very happy with our choice of Les Lavandes for our visit to the Chateau de Peyrepertuse. It's at the top of the village, just next to the trail that leads up to the castle. The very friendly owner is very welcoming and personable. She does everything she can to ensure that you enjoy your stay. We stayed in the room with twin beds--it was very spacious and clean with a large en suite bathroom adjoining. Breakfast was included for the very reasonable price of 50 euros. We were allowed to park our car in the enclosed parking space next to the house. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the evening. Breakfast was excellent--good coffee, fruit, yogurt, toast, homemade jam and cake. WiFi worked perfectly.

A comfortable and pleasant home in this lovely village

We stayed here while walking the Sentier Cathare. The owner, Marie-Christine is very professional and friendly and told us a lot about the area. She has a great dog called Alf. We had a good breakfast.
