Comfortable stop in a relaxing setting

Since our first experience in 2023 , these guest rooms have always offered us full satisfaction. Welcoming, quality of services, calm and comfort of the site , with the bonus of acceptance of our dog and especially the smile of the owner.

Welcome breath of fresh air and relaxation!

Excellent value- 16th century structure with modern facilities, luxe linens, comfy beds, beautiful gardens and friendly dogs offer an excellent departure from a busy sightseeing schedule. Short drive to castles and the Loire river. Corinne and her family were excellent hosts; the dinner Corinne prepared was probably the best we’d had on our 10 day trip to France. We plan to return to take advantage of a boat ride on the Sarthe river to explore the chateaus and do some horseback riding. Small French villages minutes away. LeMans train station and rental car locations make it an easy destination. Highly recommend!

Perfect - exceptionaly friendly, clean and great location

We have had two perfect stays at Le Tertre (and have tried to stay on two other occasions but there was no availability) - a real haven with Corrine (the owner) the perfect host. This will remain our first choice accommodation in the area. Simon

Le Terte B&B near Malicorne, France

We found the wonderful B&B Le Tertre in the countryside near the village of Malicorne, just 16 miles south of Le Mans.
Our hostess was Corinne Kalker-Gerson who, over many years, has converted the outbuildings of an old French farm into charming and roomy accommodations for the tired traveler. She has an excellent command of English and made us feel at home immediately. Our spacious bedroom was decorated in excellent taste. The bed was large, comfortable, and covered with a fluffy feather blanket. Our bathroom was modern and, unlike most B&B’s, comes with washcloths.
In the morning Corinne serves a typical French country breakfast of croissants, bread, jams and coffee or tea. On beautiful days you have your option of eating out doors or you can have breakfast in the common area outside your room surrounded by modern appliances and antique furniture.
For our late evening meals she recommended a small, family-owned restaurant in the village. They serve typical country meals but, in France, that means the food is tasty, plentiful and beautifully served. Can’t recall the name but Corinne will direct you.
WiFi, while not available in our room, was accessible in her home so we could check our e-mail and the internet. We were only sorry that our visit was so short as Corinne was the perfect hostess in an idyllic place. Don’t pass up Le Tertre.

Excellent French country retreat

We first stayed here on our first trip to France for the le mans 24 hour race. We found the accommodation a wonderful country retreat and also just a 20 minute drive to the race track. We've since returned on numerous occasions, we found Corinne very welcoming, most informative of places of interest to visit. We found the beds most comfortable and the French continental breakfast was always fresh and delicious. We are of the age that sat nat was not required to find the hotel. A wonderful outdoor space to eat or relax. Highly recommended.
