Pleasant county inn for an overnight stay
Clos de Lavandes is a quaint little inn on the outskirts of Lacoste, just a short walk down a country road from one of the ancient gates of the village and Le Château de Lacoste. Our room had its own entry from a meandering courtyard and a small gravel patio. Breakfast was served in a large room and in a courtyard. We only stayed one night but would definitely consider staying there again if we came back to Lacoste. The only warning is that the road is very dark at night so be careful if walking back after a late evening in the village.

Terrible experience
NEVER AGAIN.
I write here because on Booking it is not possible to reply to the owner's answers, who tends to respond aggressively to those who leave negative reviews. In fairness to those considering booking, I report my experience.
I paid 179 € for what is called a “suite”, but the reality is very different: old room, rough furniture, exposed electrical wires, refrigerator with a microwave on top used as a bedside table, random colors on the walls and above all a persistent smell of sewer that made it impossible to enjoy the room.
Upon arrival, despite warning, the owner did not show up. After many calls went to voicemail, no one called back. No Welcoming, no bottled water (not even for a fee), no air conditioning turned off with 43 degrees outside and no ID records. All this gave the impression of a ghost structure.
Subsequently I found myself wrongly accused of having “run away” for not stopping for breakfast and even calling myself “like a thief”. I specify that I did not run away: I simply decided not to stop after seeing the conditions of the room and noting the total absence of assistance. As for the accusations, they do not belong to me: my experience was only that of a customer who paid a high price for a Service that did not correspond in the least to what was promised.
The problem is not only the structure, but also the management: every negative review receives the same defensive and accusing response, instead of an assumption of responsibility or an attempt to improve. (which will also happen here ) This attitude, combined with the quality of the room, confirms that I would never recommend this property to anyone.
Extremely disappointing experience, which I would strongly advise against.

As for the accusations, they do not belong to me: I was simply a paying guest who received a service that in no way matched what was promised.
The biggest issue is not only the condition of the property, but the management itself: every negative review receives the same defensive, accusative reply instead of an acknowledgment of responsibility or any attempt to improve. This attitude, combined with the poor quality of the accommodation, is exactly why I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

Siamo sorpresi dalle vostre osservazioni sulla pulizia e sugli odori, poiché non abbiamo mai ricevuto lamentele simili e manteniamo un livello di igiene molto rigoroso. The colours and scents of Provence
In the heart of the Luberon, le Clos des Lavandes is a corner of peace, which well embodies the colors and scents of Provence. The cozy rooms and well cared for even in the smallest detail, overlook a large garden full of aromatic plants and a lavender field.
Days at Clos de Lavandes start with a hearty and appetising breakfast.
Everything here tells the taste and grace with which the owners take care of this place and their guests.
The central location of Lacoste allowed us to easily reach, in addition to the villages of the Luberon such as Menerbes Bonnieux, Oppede, also Avignon, Gordes, Saint Remy, Fontaine de Vaucluse, Roussillon, L’Isle sur la Sorgue, Apt, Lourmarin...
Arles, Nimes and Orange are also within easy reach.
To return, perhaps with a few more days.

Stay at Lacoste
The villa in which the rooms are located is very beautiful, the garden is very welcoming and in general the place is very quiet. The room and bathroom were both very clean. The organization of breakfast surprised us a little: for the two nights we stayed, everything had been prepared previously in the fridge available inside the room. Apart from four fresh desserts and a cheese, the rest was all pre-packaged food.

Grazie per il vostro soggiorno. Sono felice che abbiate apprezzato la proprietà, la camera, il giardino, la pulizia e la tranquillità del luogo.
In effetti, per un certo periodo, ho dovuto organizzare la colazione in camera per motivi familiari. Tuttavia, come avete notato, era comunque abbondante, con marmellate e dolci, formaggio fresco locale, brioche biologica tostata, varie bevande calde, succo di frutta e yogurt.
Ora sono lieto di offrire una colazione varia e sostanziosa, dolce e salata, servita a buffet sulla mia ampia terrazza ombreggiata o nella veranda, con vista sul Luberon. È composta da pane fresco, prodotti da forno e molte altre proposte per soddisfare tutti i gusti.

very pleasant stay
Splendid structure surrounded by greenery, perfect location for visiting the Luberon, very close to Lacotste (a little gem to experience and discover), welcoming and functional rooms, pleasant breakfast served in the garden. the only criticism, if it can be defined as such, is the breakfast time which I would have preferred to have been served a little earlier. Thank you for your welcome and kindness.
