Very nice step

Very nice stage on the GR470. The hotel is located in an old building with a lot of charm and character just above the Allier. Sober but comfortable room. Friendly and considerate welcome. The dinner deserves a mention for the quality of the dishes from home cooking with homemade products which is becoming rare. In short a good address

Enjoy your stay. Informal yet professional.

We couldn't resist and booked this hotel for the second time. We feel at home here. With a pastis at the bar listening to a group of municipal officials, enjoying the beautiful Allier river, this time with a nice higher water level. We were informed in detail about high the water can exceptionally really be there. The river “once was” so high that the Allier cut the curve and forcibly found a shortcut directly past the hotel and other buildings. The people who work there are extremely friendly and proud of their surroundings. Lavoute-Chilhac in Auvergne is one of the most beautiful villages in France and attracts an audience that makes you feel at home. Again we were satisfied with the room and the care.

L'Allier is a lovely river

Wake up in the morning and open your window overlooking the river. The view and the sound of running water made me smile each time. Very friendly, good food and local wine in the restaurant (indoor or out), picturesque village. Plenty of free parking.

Superb step

Superb provincial hotel on a meandering Allier. Rooms overlooking the course of the river. Bar, restaurant and accommodation coexist perfectly. The boss is super friendly and does not hesitate to offer us several local cheeses for breakfast.
