Perfect equestrian stay July 2026

We come regularly for the equestrian park competitions. Ideal location of the establishment near the stalls, the equestrian center and especially the competition site. Perfect family room, well laid out and very clean.
Very well-maintained hotel, renovated.
Special mention to the extremely pleasant, welcoming, kind, and professional staff.

Very beautiful place, too bad that they allow large dogs in the dining room.

It is a very beautiful place with the racetrack right next door.
The negative point is that they allow large dogs (Labrador/greyhound and also a German shepherd) that day in the small dining room.
Right next to the breakfast buffet.

Great hotel

No frills aparthotel , clean spacious studio apartment, great breakfast, lovely welcoming staff and very reasonable bar prices. In a beautiful tranquil area, with views from our balcony of beautiful horses passing by from the next door equestrian centre, I was in heaven.

Reservation with a knife to the throat!!

I wanted to book a night for two on May 22, 2026. My contact told me that it was a minimum of three nights for the Pentecost weekend in a tone that was more than sarcastic. The hostage-taking. I deplore this commercial technique that puts us in a position of desperation. This person hung up laughing when I told her that I was going to leave a comment on TripAdvisor. Apparently, this does not affect them, and they do not care about customer feedback. I have come several times and was the first to praise this hotel for its hospitality and kindness. As of today, that will no longer be the case. Lamentable…

Great location, Easy Access, Disappointing Customer Service

We recently stayed here for a stop over stay due to it's great location and easy access into the pretty town. On arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly and polite young man on reception who spoke excellent English and clearly explained breakfast times and hotel information. We were allocated a lovely ground-floor room with excellent facilities including a kitchenette, nice bathroom, indoor dining table etc, and outdoor seating area overlooking the garden/car park. The hotel itself is in a pleasant, quiet and very accessible location next to a large equestrian centre, which was not a problem for us as we love animals.
Unfortunately, our experience was seriously let down by an incident and the way it was handled. After unpacking, we sat outside to enjoy the beautiful weather when a dog wandered through from the car park/equestrian centre area and defecated directly outside our balcony seating area. The smell was horrendous and forced us back inside.
I went to reception and politely informed the receptionist what had happened. His response was firstly a shrug of the shoulders, then I repeated my statement, his response was, “What do you expect me to do?” I replied that I would simply like someone to clean it up so we could sit outside and relax as we had paid for our room. He then responded, “Not my responsibility.”
I was honestly shocked by this attitude and explained that it certainly wasn’t my responsibility either. He repeatedly stated he was “just on reception,” and again asked what I wanted him to do. I politely but firmly asked if he could arrange for somebody to remove it. He suggested it was “probably a dog from the equestrian centre.”
To my disbelief, he then handed me a bin bag and suggested I clean it up myself.
At this stage I was extremely angry and disappointed. There were many families and dog owners staying at the hotel, and basic hygiene and cleanliness in guest areas should absolutely be a hotel responsibility. My partner then explained the legal and health concerns surrounding dog fouling in public guest areas and took the very reluctant receptionist outside to see the situation for himself. After much huffing and puffing and muttered conversation, someone removed it.
As a hotel owner myself in the UK, I found the response completely unacceptable. Had this happened at my hotel, I would have immediately apologised, cleaned the area personally or arranged for it to be done straight away, and looked at preventative measures such as securing the gate access from the equestrian centre and giving guests a code for entry.
It is such a shame because aside from this incident, the stay itself was lovely, the room was excellent, and the hotel has great potential. However, customer service when dealing with a reasonable complaint fell far below expectations.
