Welcoming, comfort, kindness of our guests, their attentions, Marie Pierre's homemade cakes at breakfast, and the breathtaking view of the landscape make this place a dream break!

A stopover in a relaxing place

This year again, a stopover at this wonderful gîte.
A total change of scenery in the heart of nature with a mountain view. This. building, a former presbytery has been meticulously designed to satisfy customers.
Marie-Pierre and her husband welcome you with extreme kindness and do not hesitate to share a moment of dialogue.
Everything is done to have a pleasant stay.
The room is very well appointed, the bedding perfect.
As for breakfast, it’s a treat and you don’t miss anything. The products are fresh and homemade.
It’s also nice to chat with Marie-Pierre.
This is our second stay and we plan to return.

“La belle France” experience

There are only 3 rooms to book inside this huge old superb mansion.
The owners live there aswell, they are charming and incredibly hospitable people. Great breakfast, lovely little garden. We enjoyed all the details of our stay. We would surely stay there again but choose a bigger room. Mirefleurs is also a perfect base for visiting all Auvergne in day-trips.

Lovely village chambre d'hote

Whilst a bit difficult to find (my own fault, I didn't read the email properly) once you're in situ this is a lovely chambre d'hote in an old village presbytery. The rooms are extremely comfortable and well appointed and very quiet for a good nights sleep. The owners are lovely people and make you feel very welcome. The breakfast served the next morning was one of the nicest I've had in our French travels and included fresh fruit salad and a delicious and freshly squeezed orange juice (easy to do but so seldom done by owners), It's a lovely out of the way place to rest and relax with wide open views across the countryside and on to the mountains. It's also very convenient for the Zenith Auvergne which was our reason for staying there. Highly recommended.

Overnight stop on way back from south of France

This is a boutique hotel converted from what used to be a presbytery. The rooms are large and nicely cool in the hot weather. The owners made us feel very welcome, and it is best to arrive between 5 and 6 pm. We had an evening meal at her neighbours house, (La Feniere), and while we should have studied our French conversation more, the evening meal was the best that we had during our 2 weeks in France. The kitchen and dining room was spotlessly clean, and Francoise Lavergne obviously took pride in her cooking. The house wine was home made and was good quality. Good value for money.
As others have said the roads at the top are narrow and steep, and when touring on a motorbike, it could be easy to lose your footing at the end of a long days ride. There is secure parking at the hotel.
