Very nice!

An exceptionally friendly and warm welcome by the adorable Fabrice! I even received a free upgrade (a more comfortable room was available). An absolutely ideal location in the heart of Nantes (very close by). Excellent value for money. A great experience. Thanks again Fabrice:-)

SCAM HOTEL HAS ABSOLUTELY LEAKED

Too bad I can't put 0 The way we were treated on the phone, first we ask for information and in the aftermath just before arriving at the parking we received a phone call from the hotel telling us that unfortunately they would have to cancel and refund us our stay because he had an electricity problem right after hanging up they blocked us my number (unable to reach them neither by phone nor by email) knowing that I had chosen this hotel because I was going to be hospitalized the next day, staff not at all serious. I had to book another hotel in a hurry so I could rest from the trip I had travelled all day before my operation. The other hotel had the same electricity problem and this did not prevent them from registering us and receiving our access key. And so far I have not received any response from their steps neither' cancellation nor refund that means I paid a hotel for nothing without access. If it's money you want to ask for and not rip people off.IF I HAVE A MESSAGE TO GIVE TO THE FUTURE PERSON who wishes to book a stay at this property honestly pass your way and book elsewhere will save you your time and money.

Hotel to avoid

very noisy pedestrian street (the bar next door closes at 2am), breakfast requested but reception still closed at 7.50am, bill expected by email but never received despite several reminders. Just acceptable bedding.

Basic 2 star hostel in center of town

2 star basic hotel in a central location. This was the only hotel available due to a number of events in town. The first thing is the staff are very friendly especially the African guy at reception. He really made an effort. Also the security guy was helpful.
The property is very basic and old interior. The hallways had a sewerage drain smell but not in the rooms. Towels and soap are provided. The place was generally clean. I would rate it like a hostel with private bathrooms. Im not sure I would recommend to a women travelling solo. No cameras are in the staircases that have 3 floors. It is a bit of a weird building quite isolated inside.
The wifi was free and worked well. Sadly below opposite the hotel which is in a narrow street a late night bar is on everyday until 2am. It was very loud and I was kept awake until 2am. Very hard to get sleep and I was on the top floor. They maybe need to add triple glazed windows. There is a really nice Indian - Bangladeshi restaurant across from the hotel called Shaan Tandoori. I ate there twice and highly recommend it for around €20.
I am not sure if I would stay here again it was out of my comfort zone in terms of standard. I would usually stay at the Ibis Styles properties and its well below that. As I said the staff really saved the place and one night the keycard stopped working and I was concerned as there is no reception after 8pm. Lucky security answered the main front door and had to also let me into my room. That made me a bit nervous. You could be locked out all night. If this place had a big refurbishment and 24 hour reception I might consider again.
