Outdated and tiny room

Under the guise of a historic hotel, they offer tiny rooms with low-quality equipment.

Disappointing stay – wouldn’t recommend

Unfortunately, we were really disappointed with our stay. There were three of us sharing a room and it was far too small to comfortably accommodate three people, particularly once you added luggage into the equation. The room itself was clean, but that was one of the few positives.
There is no lift, and despite being on the second floor, we were offered absolutely no help with our luggage. We also found most of the staff quite rude and unwelcoming, with the exception of the breakfast staff, who were lovely.
This hotel is probably fine if you’re staying for business, travelling alone with very little luggage and don’t need much interaction with the staff. For a holiday, particularly as a family or group, I really wouldn’t recommend it. Hospitality felt seriously lacking and we definitely wouldn’t return.

Historic hotel on quiet street with great air conditioning. No elevator but they tell you before you book. Very small shower in our room. Very affordable, great location, staff who likes to help. Stores luggage very late, offers a reasonable breakfast price, with eggs. Fresh water in the charming antique lounge area.

HORRIBLE: STAY AWAY.

Very disappointing experience. We stayed there in 2025: very small but charming room.
Subsequently, we received several messages informing us of the change of ownership and a temporary closure for renovations.
We booked a room in March 2026 for the month of May.
They frankly mocked us. No improvement in the hotel. A shabby room on the 2nd floor (without an elevator). Size of a pocket handkerchief, no seat, no space for luggage, plywood shelves like those in a basement, mold on the ceiling that is falling apart, wallpaper with large flowers dating back 40 years.
As for the bathroom, tiny, a shower curtain that sagged and could have injured us if we had occupied it at that time, broken and dangerous tiles, a closet door found in a dump, a faucet with a drain that does not work, brown mold that makes you want to vomit.
A true horror.
Even in Nice for €175 a night, you can get better, and it is a shame to classify it as 3 stars and dare to say that renovations have been made.
I would therefore say: STAY AWAY.
