A perfect location to Gare L'Est and surrounding. We were surprised to experience a wonderful hotel, its small courtyard, the delicious breakfast offering, and of course, the comfortable room.

On arrival at our room we found the air conditioning not working. When we questioned reception this was a known problem but had not been mentioned at check in. We were told there was no option to move to another room as it was a general problem at the hotel. We decided to remove the duvet from its cover as it was so hot only to find it had various yellow stains. We decided to check out early and move to another hotel

Great hotel in a very good location for all the sights including walking (if you’re up to it) 10mins walk from Gare du Nord and 5mins Gare de l’est to access the metro and Eurostar.
Amenities and room both pleasant and comfortable. Lift and corridors a little tight if wheelchair / pushchairs being used. Staff helpful and courteous in most languages. Within walking distance of shops and bars to people watch.

I arrived here at night, hot and sweaty, and was absolutely thrilled at the thought of getting into my room and cooling down. Unfortunately, that excitement disappeared pretty quickly when I turned on the AC, waited… and felt absolutely nothing. Turns out, I had been given a room where the AC wasn’t working.
I was told it was supposed to be fixed, but no one ever came by. Thankfully, I was given a fan, which was helpful, but as we all know, a fan is definitely not the same thing as air conditioning! I was eventually moved to another room, only to discover that the AC wasn’t working there either. After being moved four times, I finally ended up in a room with functioning AC, and I could tell immediately that it actually worked. Needless to say, it was a very welcome feeling!
Aside from the AC adventure, I really enjoyed my stay here. The rooms are incredibly cute and have so much personality. One unexpected benefit of being moved around so many times was getting to see all of the different murals on the accent walls. I also discovered that each floor has its own unique theme and color scheme, which I thought was such a fun design choice.
Once I was finally settled into a cool room, I really enjoyed the rest of my stay. The shower was nice, the bed was very comfortable, and the view from the room was lovely.
The location initially felt a little questionable, but I had no issues during my stay. One thing worth knowing, however, is that the elevators stop at the stair levels.

Breakfast was good. The man at the desk helped us with luggage. Though there is a lift it stops between stairs so one has to manage bags over some steep steps. Room was clean with quirky walls. Small fridge in room. Good restaurant around corner from street.
