I would like to sincerely thank the entire team at the Mercure Paris Place d’Italie for the exceptional quality of their welcome.
We had to book several rooms for family members under unforeseen and particularly delicate personal circumstances. From our first interactions, we encountered a team of **great humanity, available, attentive, and extremely kind**.
What particularly impressed us, beyond the quality of the hotel, was the **ease of communication** with the staff. For every request or question, we found someone attentive, responsive, and truly eager to make things easier for us. In certain circumstances, this quality of listening and this ability to quickly find solutions take on a very special value.
The welcome our family received was remarkable and brought us a great deal of serenity at a time when we particularly needed it.
A huge thank you to the entire team for your **professionalism, your kindness, and above all your humanity**. These are qualities that one does not forget.
We recommend this establishment **without the slightest hesitation** and we will return with full confidence.

Welcoming but ageing
The hotel is clean and the staff is attentive, very welcoming. There is nothing to say about it! The hotel is well placed, close to the metro. Pros are also the possibility to have a quick breakfast for 10 euros, and free breakfast for children. The room is quite large (501), with a quite large window with views of the rooftops. The rooms on the lower floors have a less clear view and must be darker.
I was disappointed by the condition of the rooms, which need a serious cleaning: no Welcoming products except a bottle of soap/shower gel/shampoo all in 1. No cottons/nail kit or anything. The bathroom is tiny, the toilet paper is very thin, we feel that it is the economy that prevails.
The bathroom door has taken on water, there are traces on the paintings, it lacks decoration. 3 stars but not 4 at least for these points.

Vous avez raison, les chambres de catégorie Standard disposent d’un assortiment de produits d’accueil plus limité, conformément aux standards de la marque Mercure pour les hôtels 4 étoiles. D’autres catégories de chambres offrent en revanche des prestations plus complètes.
Je vous assure que toutes nos chambres sont lumineuses, même celles situées aux étages inférieurs, et je vous invite à en faire l’expérience lors d’un prochain séjour afin de pouvoir comparer.

Romantic and quaint.
The hotel is well located near a metro. Great neighborhood with many wonderful restaurants. The room is a typical room size for Paris. We had a lovely terrace on the top floor. It was wonderful to sit out at night with the cool air. Check in was quick and we were offered water and shown amenities.

Excellent location and service
Excellent location, close to the Place d’Italie, with a subway station, shopping and several great restaurants nearby. I stayed in a great and spacious room, overlooking main and side avenue. In the room could have had a little more comfort with towel dryer and more hoodies, but did not compromise the positive experience. I highlight the excellent service provided by collaborator Rachel, friendly and helpful was very attentive with my family, helping with all the details of the accommodation and helping us with information about the city, transportation and attractions. Since we were in a group of 8 people, we chose the coffee at the hotel to facilitate the logistics start of the day and also served us perfectly.

PREVILEGE ROOM EMBARRASSING
We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights from 01 January to 6 January 2026. I had already been years ago, but now it has been renovated. Place d’Italie is quite decentralized, there are no restaurants, you have to move at least to Montparnasse.
The room an angular privilege (605) nothing to say about the size, because really big compared to the standards of Paris, with three windows and views of the Eiffell tower, but I do NOT recommend it to couples not close-knit in the sense that THERE IS 'THE DOOR BETWEEN THE BEDROOM AND THE BATHROOM and unfortunately from the photos of the site you can not understand. It will also be “modernity”, but in my opinion very embarrassing and not at all hygienic! Also the room is cold because there is an air conditioner, but if outside it is below zero it can not heat!! In the bathroom there is a radiator, but there is no door even the bathroom is not hot! The shower is only half glass so the bathroom is always flooded! There are no towel rails, really not very functional!! Wardrobe seems capacious, but it is not so, two floors are occupied by safe and kettle so there is no space to store the mesh.
The breakfast was great.
Basically it is a modern hotel but not functional at all!
And then patience the absence of the bidet, but the door of the bathroom this just do not accept!

Siamo lieti che abbia apprezzato la dimensione della camera, la vista sulla Torre Eiffel e la qualità della colazione.
Siamo tuttavia molto dispiaciuti di apprendere che la configurazione della camera Privilège d’angolo non abbia soddisfatto le sue aspettative. Le porte della sala da bagno sono state rimosse in alcune camere durante la ristrutturazione per offrire uno stile più moderno, ma comprendiamo perfettamente che questo possa risultare poco funzionale e inadeguato per alcune esigenze di privacy.
Per quanto riguarda il riscaldamento, ci scusiamo che il climatizzatore e il radiatore non abbiano garantito la temperatura ottimale durante le giornate eccezionalmente fredde, e prendiamo nota dei punti segnalati riguardo alla funzionalità della doccia, ai porta asciugamani e alla disposizione dell’armadio.
Il suo feedback è prezioso e verrà condiviso con il nostro team per valutare possibili miglioramenti. Ci dispiace davvero di non aver reso il suo soggiorno completamente confortevole e ci auguriamo, nonostante tutto, di poterla accogliere nuovamente per offrirle un’esperienza più soddisfacente.
