Excellent management!

Two nights at the Novotel center Gare de Tours during a business trip.
The hotel is very well located behind the train station and close to the Convention Center.
The rooms are clean, well-equipped, with double glazing for those facing the railway. The breakfast is quite satisfactory.
The hotel has secure parking at a very reasonable price.
Finally, the most important thing for me is the excellent management of the manager, Mr. Jean-Marc, who has shown a lot of kindness and great professionalism. Thank you very much to him. We greatly appreciated our stay and highly recommend this hotel in Tours for a pleasant stay.

Comfortable hotel in a poor location.

Our room was quiet, comfortable and quite spacious. Given that the hotel is adjacent to the railway station, I was surprised at how quiet the room was. The refreshment station left something to be desired. There was no black tea provided, only herbal. We had to ask for black tea and milk. Breakfast was good, but things ran out during busy times and staff were slow to replenish. The bar was not well staffed; we had to go to reception and ask for someone to serve us. The restaurant was closed at the weekend, which didn't bother us, but it was odd. The worst thing about the hotel was the location. It was not in the nicest part of town and I would not have been comfortable walking back to it in the dark. If a hotel close to the station is what you require then this is ideal, but I would not stay here again.

Hotel near the center and the station, with fairly modern, spacious, and comfortable rooms.
Good cleanliness.

Stopover to visit Tours

Hotel for sales reps and businessmen. Very well located near the train station.
Very nice breakfast buffet, but... no bar area, no catering on weekends, only one armchair and a coffee table in the room: not very nice for a couple.

Great location, large room

The hotel is on the side of the station and a 15-minute walk from Place Plumereau.
The hotel has private underground garage, but the logistics to get in and out could be better. Upon arrival at the hotel you have to go to the reception to pick up the access codes (one for the outside bar and the other for the garage gate). To type the codes on the keyboard has to stretch all over. And the garage gate opens short, you have to get in quickly. And to come out all over again. Couldn't they do a recognition by the car plate or something more modern?
The first room they gave me had no desk (although there was room for it). I complained, they gave me another, who was with a wet towel on the bathroom floor. Finally, the third one was good. The room is spacious, modern, has a fridge, safe, spacious desk. The bathroom is also large. After the perrange with the rooms, I was exempted from the garage payment.
I was expecting more than a breakfast at the Novotel. There is no fresh orange juice, only natural yogurt, whole-form bread, and the items take time to be repaired.
