To do absolutely

Great experience! Comfortable and beautifully decorated room. In addition the location is ideal for strolling around the city and seeing the monuments (circuit available at the Tourist Office).
Beautiful panorama at breakfast.

Quirky isn't always great

This is a lovely little place with a personality to it.
Nice breakfast and good to have a coffee machine in the room.
However, the bathroom was tiny, and we're not plus size! It was very dark in the room and a misplaced gap in curtains meant you were on show to anyone unlucky enough to be looking while you were in the shower!

pretty discovery

very nice houseboat, we had problems that lit up every ten minutes, to remove it you had to turn off the heating so not obvious in February bathroom more than small very complicated to wash, despite all this the welcome was nice, and the breakfast was very good

Beautiful discovery

Cordial welcome. Very charming room, tastefully decorated, very comfortable bedding. Ideally placed to leave his car in the parking lot, visit Verdun on foot and fully enjoy the restaurants.
Full breakfast, pastries, Cake, cereals, jam breads, spread, yogurt, eggs/bacon, apple juice, coffee and tea...... to start the day off right. Listening staff.
We will advise our entourage

Parking is not free and it is not on site.

It was fun staying on a barge with our bedroom just above water level where we could watch scullers zoom past! The bed was so comfortable we didn’t want to get up! Being on a barge, space is at a premium so don’t be disappointed with the size of the shower room/loo. It is perfectly adequate. The downside is parking! We booked via Booking.com and on their site it states free parking. We foolishly presumed this was on site or near the barge. Not so! It was neither free nor on site. The only parking, if you are lucky, is a public car park which is situated across a busy two way road. Then you have to go up a couple of steps on the pavement opposite the public parking; then down 19 stone steps before a boardwalk to the barge and up a gangway to access the barge. Not easy when wet and carrying overnight gear. The public parking is only free between 1800hrs and 0900hrs the following morning. We arrived before (the late) check in time of 1700hrs so had to pay for parking up to 1800hrs. As we had to get up and feed the parking machine from 090Ohrs we decided to forego breakfast on the barge which was a disappointment.
