A cool experience in more than one sense
Our biggest problem was the hostess, though, who we found reserved and rude. To be honest, this might have to do with the severe language barrier, as she did not pretend or try to understand anything other than French, and even though we tried our best. She did not seem to understand a single word we said to her.
We never got the internet connection to work, even though we tried to make her help us. Her husband demonstrated that the connection point in their own apartment worked, but that didn't help us much, as it wasn't available from our place.
At some point the pipes connecting the kitchen sink to the sewers started dripping. We also tried to get this fixed, but to no avail. She saw the problem and shrugged.
We had chosen to clean the place ourselves, instead of paying 65 EUR. We spend two hours scrubbing everything, vacuuming (the vac sac was full), and washing all tiles. When we left, we found the hostess throwing pans and washing machine filters violently around the kitchen, clearly unsatisfied with the work we had done. She were unable to explain what she was dissatisfied with, though.
Another curiosity: one evening we took a short cut, walking on a trail leading through a nearby camping site. When we passed the main building, leaving the place, the local manager ran after us, and in almost intelligible english he very brutely told us never to enter his place again. We tried smoothing things out, but he ended up threatening us with a beating if we ever showed up again. He even drove after us in his car, but as we had already entered our apartment, he scolded our hostess instead.
To sum things up, if you don't speak french, don't go here!

Want to come back
We had a great meal in the creperie near the beach, and also noticed there were more places to eat further down Omaha beach.
Sylvie provided us a fantastic breakfast in the morning ( some of which also provided us with Lunch) and off we went. Would gladly come back for a week next time and perhaps bring a group of friends to share the facilities.
