I loved it.

Lived at the Vista Hotel for a week and I really enjoyed it. Cool location, the view is just chic in Tbilisi especially at night. To the center walk approximately 20 minutes under the mountain (back up the mountain!!!) but while you go to get acquainted with the "life of others" it is so atmospheric and authentic! These ancient houses, doors and balconies, how beautiful! Because of the location of this hotel, I saw it all and felt it.
The rooms are decent, there's everything you need. Breakfasts are good, too. There's plenty to eat. There are great receptionists at the front desk who are always available for help and advice.
Anyway, I'm glad I saw Tbilisi and Georgia (thanks to the tours). Thanks for my cool vacation!

Very nice hotel, nice large room with a balcony with a view. We didn’t realize how steep the hill was from the main road in the old town up to the hotel. Other then that, great place.

Comfortable and inexpensive hotel with very beautiful views of Tbilisi

The hotel is located at the foot of Mount Mtatsminda, but is located on a hill. I don’t know, is this Mount Mtatsminda itself or some hill adjacent to it? The south-facing windows face directly onto the mountain (its lower part). This implies two properties of the hotel. The first is positive. Since the hotel is located on a slope, from its northern side there are very beautiful views of Tbilisi (its central part), which lies lower in the valley of the Kura River between two mountain ranges. Of course, not all rooms offer these views, but the breakfast room is on the top floor and you can open onto balconies from where you can admire Tbilisi. You can go up to this room and to the balconies at any time, not just during breakfast, including when it’s already dark and Tbilisi is glowing with lights.
A negative feature of the hotel is that it is located on a hill and climbing to it can cause some difficulties. It's quite steep in places. It's about a kilometer downhill to get to Rustaveli Avenue, but it's the same distance uphill to get back. In general, it cannot be said that the hotel is located in the center of Tbilisi. The walk to the old town is about two kilometers. But on the other hand, this is a small problem.
The hotel is inexpensive, at fairly reasonable prices. The service is good. The rooms are clean. There are breakfasts. They are common for Georgia. I can’t say that the choice of dishes is large, but it won’t be difficult to have a hearty breakfast. We lived in two rooms because we left the hotel in connection with trips around Georgia, and then returned. The rooms are quite spacious. Both had balconies with tables and chairs. Among other things, the rooms are equipped with small refrigerators, which is important for Georgia even in the fall.
So we liked the Vista Hotel. We did not have any significant complaints.
