Ordinary hotel

I stayed at the Hotel Sonnenhof again. A few times, a few years ago, with my girlfriend, this time with my husband. Nothing has changed in the hotel over the years. Same Nippes, same old books. The room was relatively large and clean, the bathroom too. But it all got a little old.
The breakfast buffet is ok, no big surprises, but actually soft boiled eggs, freshly prepared.
The location of the hotel is perfect. Quiet and everything within walking distance.

Warm and cozy

The hotel had everything we needed for two stays. A fine - typically German - breakfast, comfortable beds and a parking space for the car. The location is ideal. Both the thermal baths and restaurants are in the immediate vicinity.

Only stayed one night so experience was limit. A slightly strange layout as reception on top floor but parking at bottom. A member of staff was kind enough to drive around with me after check-in. Room was large & clean but there was a distinct musky smell. Overall the hotel was slightly dated & probably needs an upgrade but for the price we were happy.
