Advantage getaway

We had a great stay at the hotel.
Breakfast was adequate and dinners too ,
But 4 stars was a bit much.
We had the misfortune that we arrived on Sunday and that the staff present spoke German as well as we did.
Furthermore, there would be cycling routes turned out not to be so.
And we had the misfortune that the men's room was faulty.
Furthermore, the place closed at 10 pm .

Civil wedding

We celebrated our civil wedding there in July 2025 or were there for lunch after the wedding with our families, friends.
Everything went according to plan, as discussed in advance. Communication with Ms. Hanen in advance was straightforward and she responded to all our wishes. We brought the day to in front of our desired decoration and the Adele was taken over by the team. It really all looked beautiful.
We had finger food and a champagne reception for the reception. Afterwards a barbecue buffet and finally coffee and cake. The food was really delicious and we have nothing to complain about - unfortunately there is a lot left, but very positive was that we were allowed to take the remaining so nothing had to be discarded.
The Service was really good, despite the fact that parallel was still a big celebration with free wedding ceremony. We sat on the terrace facing the garden - only two criticisms were that it was very tight as the tables were set along with the buffet, so everyone always had to get up when someone from the middle wanted to get up. And because the free wedding ceremony was exactly where we sat, we “had” to be quiet for quite some time or could only talk quietly, as otherwise we would have disturbed the free wedding ceremony with loud laughter etc.
For my personal feeling, a nicer floor on the terrace would be an eye-catcher. The green “carpet” unfortunately does not look pretty at all and devalues the Mood of the terrace very much.
But otherwise we have nothing to complain about, were really happy with our little celebration of our civil wedding.

Room without TV and internet.

The room was very clean and also large. We had ordered a room with TV and internet but the TV did not work. We did pay for TV and internet. The first evening, an employee tried for more than 1 hour to get the TV to work, this was not possible. A craftsman would come the next day who tried twice to remedy the problem but these attempts failed. At 9 pm we could get another room and could watch TV. To pack everything and repack everything the next morning we thanked for that. On Friday we complained but the manager thought he was generous with a compensation of € 30 to satisfy us. We did not accept that € 30. The promised internet didn't work for a second either. The employee tried to solve it unfortunately he was unsuccessful. All in all, this was the first and the last time. The manager also said that the problem of the TV was known. To my question why we had assigned this room anyway, he did not answer. Disgraceful.

Nice location but sorry the food wasn't refilled!

The hotel is very nicely located! The rooms were pleasant! The food was super tasty! One big drawback was "on is on" it was not refilled! The first day no soup and no more dessert! We could eat from 6pm to 9pm and arrived at the restaurant at 7pm so there was normally 2 hours of food to be refilled! At breakfast the fruit juice empty (2 types of fruit juice each a bottle) so far too little for the number of people who were present!

Horrific gastronomic culture

So first of all we liked the location and also the design of the outdoor facilities. Also the menu seemed varied and met our taste.
At the slightest sight behind the scenes it sucked. The little Kalauer be forgiven me but otherwise you cannot process the experience.
First we were advised that there was only kitchen from 6 pm. When then seemingly more important guests were served exquisite hot food at 5.30 l, the dysthymium made us dull. When we were given a highly respectful look when we asked if we could sit outside after all, we thought it couldn’t get worse.
When asked if there was a painting block for our child, it was finally made clear to us that they did not want us there.
Ultimately, we often go to dinner and compare high-priced and also smaller family and also lower-priced gastronomy.
Here was neither a welcome culture nor the feeling exists you take care of all guests equally and is interested in the hospitality.
We will avoid what we see as a third-rate facility and more than advise our many friends against visiting. There are much better alternatives.
When the fish gets old, it starts to stink. If this place continues like this, word will spread in little Bedburg. Besides, it already has.
