A very pleasant stay at a great motel. The room was clean and tidy overall. Every time we needed to contact someone we never had an issue, however some new arrivals did have a 15 minute wait to get hold of somebody when the checked in one evening. There are key safe boxes on the wall and you need a code to get your keys.
The room was spacious (we had a family room) well equipped including a top loader washing machine (we didn't use it though). There is a kitchenette area, however only 2 of everything cutlery and crockery-wise, while this didn't affect us, it could be a burden for a family of 3 or more.
The staff were very friendly and always enquired as to our well being and always had time for a chat about where to go and what to see.
I could see this being used mainly for people using the airport nearby, but we based ourselves here for a week and caught the S-bhan train into the city. Very convenient location without having to pay city centre prices.

Nobody was at reception , nobody answered the phone or reacted to our messages . We had to book another hotel and have asked Expedia to open a case for a refund .

An underpriced gem
What a find.
We booked here having no knowledge of Berlin. It was close to the airport, one stop and a ten minute walk. It cost £45 a night including upgrade to a larger room. Comparatively, it costs the same as a shared room at a youth hostel.
We got there to be greeted by the owner and his boys, the boys providing the translation. They had a bit of a giggle at 2 grown men sharing a bed. They’re teenage boys. No harm done. It doesn’t help that my husband and I also have the same first name.
The reception was tiny but spotless and really modern with free scented teas and a coffee machine on offer. Then we get to the room at the first landing. It wasn’t a room at all but a small beautiful apparent. Tasteful paintings adorn the wall, the kitchen and all its utensils look like it’s the first time they’ve been used, the bathroom is what you would see in a much higher end hotel. It’s actually a wet room with two shower heads.
The bed is a proper double bed, no combined singles here. And it was nearly as comfortable as my own. There’s a small dining table, large wardrobe, a steam iron and to top it off, a welcome basket with some flowers, a bear, tooth brushes and paste and some shower wash. We didn’t take any of that as we were travelling light and planned to buy it at a store. No need.
There was an issue with our water supply on day one. We went out and got on with touring. When we returned it had been sorted. Fuss free and without complaint.
The TV allowed my to log on to my Netflix account. So that was the cold nights sorted once we were home. The heating was always available so the room also felt cosy.
Honestly, I could probably go on. I can’t believe you guys are charging what you are. You are totally underselling yourself. You wouldn’t get a hovel on Airbnb for what you’re charging. I don’t often advocate for paying more but the stay was almost flawless, there was no issues that weren’t quickly handled and it was just lovely to come home from long days touring to somewhere that felt cosy and safe.
I would say it’s a distance from Berlin central but it’s one train ride. Once you’re in the city you can do all the things you want. If you’re comfortable driving on the other side of the road (I’m Scottish and daft) then hire a car. The motel also has gated parking.

Excellent location to Airport, quiet and welcoming
Amir Motel in Berlin - Schönefeld is in very close proximity to Berlin - Brandenburg Airport (about 6 - 10 min drive). Quite neighbourhood.
The check in was smooth and easy. We were welcomed warmly by a young lady who gave us all the information needed.
The room was immaculate and huge. Very comfortable beds. We even had a little kitchenette. The bathroom had a window and a walk-in shower. Also very big. We parked away from the street, safely in the property’s car park free of charge.
We got free coffees. There is no restaurant walking distance.

Emergency find!
Super hotel only found it in an emergency (missed flight!) but a great find. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was very surprised at the quality of the hotel considering the very reasonable price! The room was top notch, very comfortable, well appointed and clean.
