Few minutes walk to the beach
Cuxhaven fills up quickly on a late summer weekend - this hotel was perhaps a little more expensive than expected for what it is (so one of the last to fill) but otherwise a delight.
Stairs to most rooms, good wifi, nice standard buffet breakfast, friendly staff, do check they're open for your expected check-in time - they don't have 24 hour reception.
It 's a nice location for the beach / resort of Döse (lots of Strandkörbe, restaurants, shops and more) - not much more than 5 minutes walk away. There's even mudflat walking (Wattlaufen) from time to time (and mudflat horseriding and apparently mudflat horsedrawn carts too ...)
Several restaurants even closer than the beach.
Free parking behind the hotel (limited free parking on the road in front too, but behind is easier).
Is Cuxhaven worth visiting ? I went as it was a place to catch the catamaran to Helgoland from - which I can recommend - and there are other seaside activities to make it a popular destination. Overall I would rate Cuxhaven as 'good' rather than 'excellent' but it's still worth visiting.

For one night it goes
1. Impression: small, narrow corridors, furnishings not tasteful. The reception was partly very friendly, e.g. T. but also a bit rugged, no Extas. The room door is missing a number of the room number. The room was very small (no morning gymnastics possible), in the bathroom the joints between the tiles partly black. The water barely drained. A towel with the hanger torn off. Towels but nicely draped on the bed with little gummy bear bags in between. The double bed was narrow (but we had been told before), but very comfortable. Light could not be switched on and off separately. Breakfast was very versatile but packed jam. The staff at the restaurant: reserved to friendly.
Conclusion: It's fine for one night, but too expensive.

Unpleasant
Had to cancel due to illness. With my booking cancellation was possible up to two days before. Unfortunately, I exceeded this deadline by about 12 minutes for the above reason. To

70s years flair
A musty extremely old (hotel). Not clean, not welcoming and just awful!
The layout throughout the house is very repulsive.

No one was present at the checkout except a large loud barking dog behind the counter to personally express criticism.

Sehr gutes Hotel für einige schöne Tage
Das Hotel Seemeile ist wirklich zu empfehlen: Schön gestaltete Zimmer, tolles Frühstücksbuffet, freundliches Personal, nette Aufenthaltsräume, knapp 10 Minuten Fußentfernung zum Strand.
Zu bemängeln habe ich lediglich, dass in unserem Zimmer tatsächlich die Straßengeräusche recht laut waren; ebenso empfand ich den Preis, wenngleich das Hotel sehr gut ist, als sehr hoch.
Alles in allem aber sehr gut!
