Hotel in Dresden.

The Bilderberg Bellevue Hotel in Dresden is one of the most traditional establishments in the city and is located directly on the Elbe meadows with an unobstructed view of the beautiful old town skyline. The rooms are spacious, and the bathroom shows some signs of age, which is understandable given the house's age and requires a renovation soon. The breakfast buffet is plentiful, varied, and delicious, especially on the terrace with a view of the Elbe, making it a truly enjoyable experience. The staff is consistently very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The location is excellent, and the old town with all its attractions is easily accessible on foot. Those seeking a classic stay in Dresden with a great view and good service will find this place very suitable. We would gladly return.

Didn't find 5 stars in this rat hole

I stayed in standard room 208. The view and noise level facing the 2x2 lane street next to the tram were abysmal. Windows and window frames were filthy. Thick dust bunnies under the bed. The heater was already ripped out of its mount. Shower head and hose defective, water was running everywhere. No full-length mirror, no laundry bag. Bar soap
I walked 130 steps from the elevator to the room!
The breakfast is not worth 29 euros. A lot of waiting and standing in line at the buffet for nothing special. Ambience like in a train station concourse. No sliced fruit, only fruit salad with mostly apple and melon in cubes. Bircher muesli tasted like herb quark. Teapot leaks when pouring.
The friendliness of the staff praised everywhere was not extended to me.
The lady at the front desk was taciturn and only wanted to collect payment. The cleaning staff on the floors could not say hello; instead, they tried to enter my room multiple times even though I was naturally not out by 9:20 a.m.
Price and performance are far apart. I am not coming back to this hotel.

Besonders die von Ihnen beschriebenen Mängel im Zimmer, die Sauberkeit sowie Ihr Eindruck von unserem Service entsprechen nicht dem, was wir unseren Gästen bieten möchten. Ihre Hinweise nehmen wir ernst und werden diese intern mit den zuständigen Teams besprechen.
Auch Ihre Anmerkungen zum Frühstück können wir nachvollziehen. Frühstück soll ein entspannter Start in den Tag sein. Wenn stattdessen Wartezeiten, Hektik und Enttäuschung über das Angebot in Erinnerung bleiben, haben wir unser Ziel verfehlt.
Besonders bedauerlich finden wir, dass Sie unsere Mitarbeitenden als wenig aufmerksam und wenig freundlich erlebt haben. Ein wertschätzender Umgang mit unseren Gästen sollte selbstverständlich sein.
Auch wenn wir Ihren Eindruck heute vermutlich nicht mehr ändern können, danken wir Ihnen für die ehrlichen Worte. Solches Feedback hilft uns, genauer hinzuschauen und dort nachzubessern, wo es nötig ist.

Big hotel, great location in Neustadt (very close to the bridge). Nice staff and service. We did not take the breakfast as it was expensive (29€). The pool is also an extra. They are currently renovating the lobby, but it did not cause any problems. Nice terrasse with a view.

Professionally managed establishment with very good breakfast and friendly service.

The Bilderberg Bellevue Dresden is a large, professionally managed hotel with around 340 rooms and corresponding guest capacity. Those expecting small, intimate structures here misunderstand the reality of a city hotel of this size – especially in the breakfast area, which is logically designed to be generous.
I experienced consistently very friendly, helpful, and attentive staff. The service was present and professional.
The breakfast buffet meets the standard of a 4-star hotel. Particularly noteworthy is the selection of teas (Ronnefeldt). When it comes to coffee, one can allow for personal taste.
Despite the high number of guests, the processes were well organized, tables were quickly cleared, and newspapers like the FAZ were available.
A small design critique: On the breakfast tables, there are large coffee cups with spoons that are hardly used, as guests fetch coffee from the machine. A friendlier, more thoughtful table arrangement would further enhance the overall impression.
The bar also impressed culinarily – the chicken breast was perfectly cooked, tender, and juicy.
The ongoing renovation work hardly affected the stay. There were sufficient parking spaces available, the new underground garage is modern and secure, even though there is no direct access to the hotel.
What irritates me, however, is the tone of some reviews that confront this establishment with inappropriate sharpness. Criticism is legitimate – but it should be based on the actual conditions of a large city hotel and not devolve into blanket or derogatory judgments that hardly hold up to the reality on site.
My personal impression remains clear: a well-managed hotel where guests feel respected and welcome.
