Exceptional hotel in Garmisch

Fantastic hotel to get to know Garmisch, go up to the Zugspitze, and see the surroundings.
As soon as you arrive at the hotel you perceive that it is worth every euro invested in the stay. From the details at the reception to the careful attention of the staff, not only of the restaurant but of the rest of the hotel, they make you realize that you are in a different place where you will feel at home... at least, that is how we came to feel.
The restaurant, although it has an extensive menu, did not stop being the same throughout the week that we were there, so once the main dishes were tried, there was no choice but to repeat.
We found the room magnificent, not only because of the decor and the drinking water fountain, but also because of the large windows with views of the Zugspitze.
It is relaxing and impressive at the same time that you can enjoy a heated pool with views of the Zugspitze and the rest of the mountains that surround Garmisch.
We will definitely return.

Dreamy ambiance - passion & commitment are missing

Restaurant - great natural ambiance, food delicious, but menu too long with the same food offerings. The service has become increasingly worse over the last 3 years. It is certainly difficult to find good employees, but the attitude of being a convinced host could compensate for a lot. There is no warm welcome, only a routine greeting. Hardly are you seated when you are handed the menu without care. No interest in the guest - that is the feeling. You have to order drinks yourself, no interest in upselling. They would rather chat together at the register. A dessert is not offered, why would it be. Check, please - goodbye... certainly not again anytime soon. Too bad!

We travel a lot and this hotel is one of the best! Beautifully designed and with excellent amenities, great staff, food, rooftop pool with amazing views of the mountains - highly recommend.

Room for improvement....

Room for improvement and expectations were not met.
In advance, the digital check-in takes place, which is a great opportunity to inform the guest directly about which parking space belongs to their suite - unfortunately, this option is not utilized. Thus, the guest stands at the call pillar when entering the underground garage, which only works in one direction (there is no indication of this at the call pillar), and the reception cannot call back, so the guest stands in front of the pillar and waits patiently until they ring again.
The luggage rack was missed in the room (should the suitcase be unpacked on the floor?). Or better on the table in the sitting area?) and the bathroom cannot be heated (sure, great design, but others manage to keep the areas separated despite open spaces, so that the bedroom stays cool and the bathroom warm) - fortunately, a heater could be provided, perhaps this issue is already known. The breakfast, wellness area, and massages were impressive.
Unfortunately, it was only explained on-site that the spa cannot be visited in a bathrobe! This means one has to change clothes to enjoy a coffee or something similar in the afternoon.... - sorry, absolutely unusual! If this had been communicated openly, we would not have booked.
Before arrival, room service was inquired about and what could be ordered, but the note about additional costs for this service was also missed, which was only communicated on-site.
