Very solid business hotel
The mattress was good and provided a restful sleep.
The car traffic in front of the hotel fortunately decreases very much at night.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast costs 12€ and is accordingly good.

Run down, poor staff
Musty smelling
Cold rooms, nothing done when complained.
Staff don’t seem to care.
Avoid if possible.
Hanau is a dull dump as well

Not OK
Superficially ok...but if you look closely it's worn out
and unkempt. My room was lined with laminate, which was wavy and stepped out. Apparently the underground gives way to what suggests that the old carpeting is still underneath. With room spray you try to suppress the musty smell.
Heating could not be turned off(thermostat turned off and still warm heating 24h)
Mold in the shower and black large deposits in the toilet
With cheap materials, laypeople tried to renovate.
The reception staff makes the guest feel that they are bothering.
I am hazy about how the good recessions come about!!

Nightmare stay
Otherwise it was a nightmare. They couldn't find our reservation although I had called three times leading up our stay, and still could not find it at check-in. I had the confirmation on my laptop. For the inconvenience they upgraded us to a junior suite where the heating was broken (we had to find more blankets and put on clothes throughout the night because reception was closed between 10 pm and 6 am), a loud buzzing noise all night made sure that we couldn't sleep and the bathroom was a freezer! The next morning they put us into a new room. Overall opinion: never again in spite of the nice staff.
