Close enough to Essen

Warm welcome by an excellent host who couldn’t have been friendlier. Warm clean and good breakfast. Chinese restaurant next door. Ample parking and comfortable bed. Would stay again. You will need a car. We chose this hotel as it’s conveniently between cologne airport and Essen for an exhibition.

Does the job....

Typical German small privately-run hotel. Location is good for both Duesseldorf & Essen when trade fairs are on. Slightly aged but clean and spacious rooms (mine had a pretty roomy balcony), free parking outside, Chinese restaurant (not used during visit) downstairs, ok toilet/shower, comfy medium-firm beds, digital TV, free wifi (bit slow in room but good in downstairs breakfast room); highlight was the excellent & visually appealing breakfast buffet which would not look out of place in a pricier venue. And of course the mandatory Gummi Bears on the duvet....! Only negative might be the relatively early checkout,
10am (even at weekends)

Very friendly service, building requiring some maintenance

The hotel is directly above a chinese restaurant, which does not belong to the hotel structure. The structure is a bit old and not well maintained, although inside rooms and breakfast area are nice and clean. The breakfast is good and service fast efficient and friendly. Internet is a bit slow, and although wifi is available everywhere in the hotel, it did not really work in my room.

Familiär und freundlich

Mein Zimmer war angenehm groß und sauber. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und das Frühstück lecker. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut. Alles so, wie es sein soll. Das Hotel befindet sich außerhalb des Ortes. Mit dem PKW ist man in 10 min in der Stadtmitte. Im gleichen Gebäude befindet sich ein chinesisches Restaurant. Der Eingang zum Hotel ist etwas versteckt an der Seite des Gebäudes.

Buono

è un piccolo albergo in cui torno ben volentieri ogni anno in occasione di una fiera che si tiene nei pressi. è a conduzione quasi familiare ed il personale è molto gentile, le stanze sono pulite, silenziose, la colazione è buona. non ha ristorante in compenso accanto vi è un rst cinese sempre ben frequentato. buone le possibilità di parcheggio nel cortile interno o nei pressi.
