A typical German Gasthof in stunning countryside. It was a pleasant stopover on our way from Italy to Frankfurt. The bedroom was adequate but a bit tired and the bed wasn’t the most comfortable but ok for one night. However, the friendly staff, reasonably priced restaurant serving local cuisine and an excellent breakfast made up for the slight disappointment with the room.

A traditional German gasthof with modern amenities. The high point is the view of the Austrian and Swiss Alps and the magnificent sunrise! Nice welcoming reception and excellent breakfast with something for everyone! The honeycomb is a highlight! Very much recommend this place if you have the time to enjoy the beautiful setting.

Always very good
Third visit since our first stay some three years ago. We’ve always stayed in the newer part of the hotel and have always liked the room a lot. They’re warm and cosy but still light and modern, and a quiet night’s sleep is guaranteed. Service is extremely friendly, be it at the front desk or in the restaurant. Food is not refined but very good down to earth “schwäbische Küche” in consistent high quality served in the “gemütliche Stube”. The owner makes a point of greeting all the guests every evening. Breakfast is good with a fair choice, but could be a tad more interesting. We’ll not hesitate to stay here every time we’re in the area visiting friends.

Great location!
On the countryside, great view over lake of constance, rooms in the Tannenhaus (newest building) are modern and bright. Very clean and kids-friendly. we were there with two kids (2&4) and they enjoyed it a lot. Great value for what you get. Friendly staff, very good dinner and breakfast.
